I would not casually disregard the rhetoric of the leaders of a political party that stirs an individual to such heinous deeds. It wasn't that long ago that Schumer was threatening Supreme Court justices. And that's just one example…Maxine Waters and Jasmine Crockett actively encourage their supporters to "go make trouble" (in Waters' words) for their political opponents.
Turning down the temperature is going to mean getting people to believe that not everything the other side does is the end of America as we know it. The reality is that when high-profile people are killed like this, much more often than not the assassination is orchestrated and carried out by very powerful people and organizations, and specifically governments.

sorry but I've never said any of that. You can't lump 1/2 the country into the stupidity of 1% of the loudest.
It's not just the 1%, cnn, msnbc and others have all made the comparisons.
Turning down the temperature is going to mean getting people to believe that not everything the other side does is the end of America as we know it. Making every issue out to be the end of America on a daily basis has created this atmosphere.
Here's what I know, at least from my side of things. If we ever meet, I am 100% sure we will be respectful to eachoeth and find common ground, because that's the person I am. That's how 99% of America treats each other. That's why I am confident I'm on a correct path.
