Nothing changed. Numerous studies going back decades had proven that masks were ineffective. Then, suddenly, around April or May, they came out with a few bogus "studies" that claimed that now masks "were effective" at preventing the spread of disease.Pacfanweb said:

I've addressed this here a few months ago. The reason that doctors initially started wearing a mask was for SURGERY only. It was worn by surgeons, to prevent some of their spittle from getting into an open wound while operating on someone. The use of masks by doctors was never intended (or able) to prevent the spread of an airborne virus.Pacfanweb said:
So I guess doctors and nurses should never wear them then?
The so-called "experts" have said that "covid" can also be transmitted via the air (and not just via "respiratory droplets" of water).Pacfanweb said:
And there is why you were wrong.
Masks are to prevent spray from your mouth in your nose, which is where the virus is, from getting anywhere besides the other side of the Mask. That's how the virus spreads primarily. It is not just some little bug floating around in the air that you breathe out of your lungs that goes right through the mask.
You must have not even read what Mormad wrote a while back about viral load. Or didn't understand it.
There are numerous studies about the effectiveness of masks and the vast majority of them conclude that they do in fact help.

WHO chief scientist Soumya Swaminathan says that the vaccines will not even prevent you from contracting or transmitting "covid-19". They claim that it only "lowers" your chance of contracting or transmitting it. So it's not anywhere "95% effective", or whatever bogus lie they are telling the public.
So this means that the tyrants are still going to mandate all of the other restrictions even after people are vaccinated -- including socialist distancing, mask-wearing, lockdowns, etc. It's never going to end, because it never was about the scamdemic or a virus. This is about implementing a communist takeover of society -- ie, "The Great Reset" advocated by the World Economic Forum, etc.
You again show your complete lack of understanding. This is NOT new news to anybody but you. You have no clue what she is saying. You have no idea how to interpret the meaning of what she's saying. In the words of your hero, Karl Mullis, you don't "know anything about anything." You listen to this and think it means the vaccine isn't effective or doing what is was designed to do. You come here to complain and get people to think like you without one clue about the disease or the vaccine or how to interpret the data you receive.
The studies weren't powered to determine whether or not the vaccine stopped virus from getting in your nose or stopped you from shedding virus that got there. It did, however, have a 90+ % effectiveness at stopping the disease (kept people from getting sick from it). And if davie's meta analysis is correct, even if people get asymptomatic infections then we will likely stop transmission and therefore end this mess. But we can't know that yet, even if we can predict that the vaccine will have a solid chance of stopping infection and transmission. Just can't say it yet.
You can personally choose whether or not you want to get the vaccine. But to come here and tell people to beware a vaccine about which you have an extremely poor understanding is unreasonable. You know nothing about the studies, how the vaccine works, what potential toxins it may have, what the adverse events were, the incidence of adverse events, the sequelae of adverse events, how effectiveness was defined, what the results mean, or anything else one can name. How can you act the expert when you can't correctly answer one question about it or logically interpret one bit of data presented? You make the false claims when you know absolutely nothing about which you speak. And somebody had the balls to suggest we should do our due diligence? It's simply mind boggling.

If you're gonna come here and cry about toxins and MANY adverse events at least be able to name the potential toxins involved and the individual adverse events reported and their incidence.
It's so funny to me. When small percentages of covid sufferers get complications like stroke, myocarditis, hypercoagulable states, pneumonia, sepsis, respiratory failure, or death people wanna say it's no big deal. People die or get sick is something, right? But when 7 out of 80000 get Bell's palsy that's completely self limited and painless? Oh the HORROR!!! You better not get that vaccine!!! You might get BELL'S PALSY!! That's so much worse than the death, complications, and global direct and indirect costs of the pandemic.
And I explained that Bell's Palsy is just one small example of the harm done by the vaccines. When you consider all of the other harmful effects (autism, eczema, other immune response disorders), you're talking about a HUGE percentage of people being negatively impacted by vaccines. Research is also linking many types of cancers to the toxic ingredients in the vaccines. And there are many other diseases which I'm not just thinking of off the top of my head that are also most likely linked to vaccines -- such as Crohn's disease and other illnesses that have skyrocketed in frequency in recent years.
What makes you so confident that this "covid" vaccine is even going to work? The vaccine for the flu hardly ever works. It is notoriously ineffective. They've tried to make vaccines for other types of coronaviruses (including the common cold) over the past several decades, and have been unsuccessful, even by their bogus standards of "effectiveness". But we are to believe that the vaunted "scientists" really have it together this time, and are going to create a vaccine that is "95% effective" for "covid-19" in just a few short months? Please.
Vaccines are not necessary to prevent disease. They cause much more harm, than good. The best defense against disease is to keep your body and immune system healthy and strong. God already gave us an IMMUNE system. I don't think he expected us to have to inject our veins with strange concoctions of dna, dead viruses, and other toxins in order to "be healthy".
Tell the truth, you have watched The Fugitive two dozen times.GuerrillaPack said:I'm not clueless. If you want to talk about clueless, then look to no other than that little goober Sopranos wannabe Fauci, and anyone trusting him. I've done a ton of research into vaccines in general, their ingredients, and the many harmful side effects and diseases they cause. Knowing that, I'm naturally not going to trust this "covid" vaccine, and think that the criminals in Big Pharma suddenly decided to change course and produce a "good" vaccine that is truly "safe" and doesn't include all of those toxic ingredients.Mormad said:
This isn't about vaccines in general, though based on what you've said that would be really fun. This about the covid vaccine. Name its specific toxins, what potential adverse effects they could have, what adverse effects were documented in the study, and their incidence. You started this with your Bell's palsy worry, and then transfer to all vaccines in general because you're clueless about the vaccine you fight so irrationally hard to vilify.
And even if, hypothetically, the vaccine companies are claiming that some of these toxic ingredients that are in other vaccines (such as aluminum, mercury, formaldehyde) are "not" in the covid vaccine, I have no reason to trust that their claims are true. Because they have been known to hide and deny many of the toxic ingredients.

Is it? A paper published in PNAS promoting mask efficacy by Nobel laureate Mario Molina is being widely panned and calls for its retraction are growing according to news soures as varied as Buzzfeed to The NY Times. I don't think skepticism is unreasonable. I'd further argue that mask mandates are an unacceptable violation of Constitutional rights, and I opine that Americans shouldn't have to cave on their God-given rights just because the Center for Disease Control can't seem to live up to its name.Mormad said:
0The new studies aren't bunk. You just have to be able to determine what they mean. It's not black and white. You can't conclude that "masks don't work" if they don't stop all resp viral transmission or stop all infections. Surgical masks block about 38% of particles, which sounds bad, but that amount actually lowers viral load significantly and would reduce transmission and disease significantly. Masks were never meant to be impenetrable barriers that would end all transmission. To expect them to and then act surprised or angry or disappointed when they don't is intellectually disingenuous. And to deny that they reduce the risk of disease is unreasonable.

- I disagree with a mandate from government on this
- If a "Private" business or "Public" building requires them, then that's their prerogative - we should all give difference to them

Don't you think the answer to the question you ask the different doctors is highly dependent upon how each one defines "work?"
If you ask a general question, "do masks work?" You should expect variable answers. If you ask specific questions, "how do masks work?" "Do they reduce droplets?" "Do they reduce aerosols? " " Do they reduce transmission? " Do they stop infections?" "Do they reduce the severity of disease?" Etc then you get specific answers based on their current understanding of the data/disease.
