(Incoming Transfer)Top 600 Draft Prospects-123-Tommy White (HS)
1B-IMG Academy
Tommy White might be the best pure prep hitter in the 2021 class. It's a big, 220-pound frame that likely projects to first base at the next level. White insists he's a third baseman, and a pro organization may allow him to play there until he proves incapable. The power is substantial to all-fields and it lacks the swing and miss a lot of bruising sluggers often possess. The coil he gets, the loading mechanisms in his hands, and even the weight redistribution in his stride are eerily similar to Bryce Harper, but from the right side. The thing is, he's probably a right-right prep first baseman. That's a tough sell profile early in the draft. That said, the bat will certainly garner attention and is special enough to get attention in the first three rounds.
174-
Payton Green (HS)SS
Green Hope
Projectable SS from Cary, NC who has left Green Hope and enrolled at Pro5 Academy. Good bat speed from the left side of the plate with decent power that will get better as he matures physically. Smooth actions in the field, could end up moving to 2B due to a weaker arm. Committed to play at NC State.
293-Josh Hood
(Incoming Transfer)SS-Pennsylvania
A Freshman All-American in 2019, Hood is one the top players from the Ivy League ranks in recent years. He slashed .331/.411/.580 his Freshman season but was off to a slow start at the plate. The above average plate discipline and bat to ball skills are there. Additionally he's shown average in game pop, how much more he gets to against higher level competition is the biggest question in the profile. However based on his 2019 results, Hood can hit.
474-Logan Adams
(Incoming Transfer)RHP-College of Central Florida
Tall, over-the-top delivery with easy effort and works well downhill. Adams sits 89-92, touching 94. Mixes in an average breaking ball. If Adams can consistently sit 91-94 later in the spring, could find his name called in the top 5 or 6 rounds.
587-
Jacob Cozart (HS)C
Wesleyan Christian Academy
Athletic, strong build with present strengh. Good footwork behind the plate, can likely stay at catcher. Open stance with whippy, bat speed. Contact-oriented right now. Some pull-side pop.
