Appreciate that! Tree was removed Monday and Tuesday. Boat shelter on Wednesday. The pontoons were mashed flat and the top cap on ski boat was separated from the hull. Both trailers were on the ground with tires blown out. Now waiting for insurance company do their deal. While I wait I will be spending a lot of time pre- fishing on on the Roanoke.

They have paid for the tree removal,stump grinding,removal of 30'x36' boat shelter, grill/smoker, golf cart and picket fence. Another total loss adjuster has to come in and figure the values of the pontoon and ski boat. Really sucks that the family can't go out this weekend on the pontoon, anyway Kerr lake is 7' high so there is very little places to beach and picnic!

It will work itself out, hang in there. I for one don't take the boat out during this past weekend.
Anyone have experience fishing oak island around lockwood folly inlet? Going this summer a couple times and didnt know if they have continued to dredge it, and if not, has affected the fishing?

Hoping to shoot a few ducks on Saturday. First time out all season and not expecting much. Maybe a few woodies in a small piece of flooded timber.

I use kayaks. I fish lockwood folly inlet at oak island. Lake mackintosh and randleman lake in central north carolina. I also have a house on the tuckaseegee river in western north carolina that I like to spend my winters and summers at trout fishing.

Helps me get to the places most cant and gets my exercise in as well. I just enjoy it more I reckon. I cant afford anything else.

I have a 2012 Mercury 250 pro xs for sale with only 308 hours if anyone is interested. Got a new motor that will be here hopefully within the next 2 weeks.

Quick google search tells me that this engine is more expensive than my current vehicle times 2. My car has 9 grand still owed.

Gonna keep an eye on the weather but thinking of Falls this weekend.
The weather has been a thorn in my side. I havent been able to go fishing since 2nd week of December. Caught a whole slew of perch, pumpkin seed bluegill, and smallmouth fishing reservoir and drainage creek below Hagan Stone Park, south of Greensboro.
Weather is not helping anything...
Going to hit Falls tomorrow and try my luck. Got to get out with this weather.

Just got back from the fishing and boat expo at Grensboro Coliseum. Lots of good stuff. Got me a cheap Seine net for the kids.
Drove to Tennessee Friday evening to get my new outboard installed. Time to break in the motor before tournaments start.
Otw home from the mountains right now. Spent one night at the casino with family and spent yesterday afternoon on the Tuckasegee River in Dillsboro, NC. Caught 3 nice trout. 2 brook and one big brown. Will be back up there second week of April with a buddy for big fishing trip. Will spend 4 days on the Tuck.

Been looking at doing that. Funny you mention it. Supposed to be the best run on the east coast. Was looking at spots with a buddy on the river that we could trade timeshare points for using RCI.
On another note, same buddy and I just spent the past weekend on the tuckaseegee. The weather was awful except for Saturday. I only caught 1 good brown trout and a 12 inch rainbow. They tasted good though.
