One More Year For Michael O'Connell

NC State guard Michael O'Connell announced today that he'll be using his final year of eligibility to build on last season and also complete his MBA degree.

“I’m definitely excited to announce that next year I’ll be returning to NC State,” O’Connell said. “To work off what we built last year and obviously at the same time finish up my degree from the MBA program.

“I’m definitely excited to be back with the Pack and see where it takes us.”

O’Connell, who already holds a degree from Stanford, averaged 5.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game in his first season with the Pack.

He really stepped up his play in the postseason, as he scored in double figures in all five ACC Tournament games.
