Fall in line Hoak, don't tell the truth. Lie to protect your job. That's my issue with you.........and it is BBW's too.

Paul Revere should have stayed in bed that night. Washington should not have agreed to lead the Continental Army and he should have remained a subject of the King. Got news for ya, the Crown is part of the head of the snake today but I don't expect you to understand it. You're too lazy.
comparing Tucker Carlson to Paul Revere and George Washington is ridiculous. A guy who had an audience total that is lower than the amount of people in the US who think they've been abducted by aliens.

All he did was amplify bad ideas and conspiracy theories. He was a detriment to conservative thought, and he did it to line his pockets.

And the second page.

hokiewolf said:

I love all the reasons why Tucker Carlson got fired seem to be missing the main point that the reason Tucker was fired was because he got himself fired. Again, he has no one to blame but himself. This isn't a conspiracy to silence the truth either. It's a guy who was costing his employer more money than he was bringing in. That's why he doesn't work there anymore.

Oh, he'll be back on again... just won't be CNN.
people here treating Tucker like he was an unimpeachable journalist is just ridiculous to me. He pandered to an audience for ratings. He then interfered with the news division operations at Fox because he feared losing ratings.

The evening hosts the last few years I fear have done unrepairable damage to the news division at Fox. And that's a huge problem. And a bigger problem is that the majority of Fox News viewers don't understand why that's a huge problem.

Lol yeah ok, the ratings for Tucker said otherwise. I don't get your hard on for the guy, just because democrat politicians and msnbc told you he lies and was a threat to our democracy doesn't mean it's true.
Tucker has an audience of 3 million. That's less then 1% of the US population. All Tucker is/was is an echo chamber for far right online media. He took what he saw on line and he amplified it to 1% of the population, most of which probably don't know how to find this stuff on line.

He is pandering to a hard core audience. To do that, he has sacrificed the reputation of the Fox News division. You failing to see that as a problem basically confirms my point.

I don't know what they say at MSNBC because I don't watch that channel because it's terrible.

whatever man, don't cost your employer money, you probs wont get fired. Thats vastly different than some public servant writing something stupid on Facebook and getting fired for it because a mob demands it.

And no, Tucker wasn't cancelled by an online mob

I have zero care about Jimmy Kimmel, he made it easy for ABC not to over pay him for 1.9M viewers. Engaging the FCC to do so is an entirely different matter though.

Unsurprising you can see that difference, you just want to own the libs and have no original thought.

There was public outcry by the left about Tucker getting fired, but I was under the impression the large settlement played a big part. In the end Tucker is doing ok for himself.

As for public servants, no way they should get a pass. I have been shocked by how entitled civil and public servants can be. They get away with more versus the Private sector.

Correct. The idea that accountability for things you say online is something new emphasizes what a sheltered life he has lived. This is nothing new for half the country. What is new is liberals being held accountable for the awful things they say. And that bothers hokie for some reason. no guy absent of reading comprehension, I've never said right wing cancel culture. I'm tired of all of it. I was tired of it years ago. It is an illiberal thought process to think an online mob gives a **** about accountability. And let's be real, John and Jane public servant aren't getting fired to hold them accountable.

But, the good news is when you fire that EMT, and it creates a shortage of EMTs, hopefully the delayed response kills someone who doesn't have your political beliefs. Gotta figure out how to make that work out.

Accountability can result in different actions against an employee. Based on my experience, if an employee says/does anything that is hateful/discriminatory, they are terminated. That type of action impacts co-workers (1 or many) who will raise ethics complaints. I never worked for a company that didn't have mandatory training every year with signature acknowledgement for course completion. That's a practice that should be in all public sectors.

We are speaking two different languages here, that's fine. I'm not disagreeing with what you're saying. I'm not even disagreeing about accountability. My main point is a mob online attacking you because you posted something on Facebook. Generally, that isn't means for an ethics complaint. But maybe we can change the rules real quick and then change them back if a liberal ever becomes president again.

Expecting accountability from someone attacked by a nameless faceless mob who doesn't have your political views is the antithesis of accountability

Hokie, I get it… the concept of cancel culture sucks, in general. That said, I have no issue with a company disassociating with someone, if they don't think their outspoken views represent a fair minded thought.

Additionally, Dems will not (my opinion) stop their madness; therefore, trying to be better than them is losing, in the long run. Also, some are suggesting we find some unity. I don't believe that a realistic thing, as unity can't be possible with a segment of the Dems. Unfortunately, those people, within the Dem Party appear to have taken oven their mainstream.

Now the official story gets even crazier, if that's possible. A TPUSA spokesman claims that the alleged 30-06 round did not exit Kirk's neck, because Kirk's neck was "made of steel".

So it seems that they are not claiming, as some have still been saying, that the bullet hit body armor on Kirk's chest and the ricocheted up to his neck. They are claiming that the wound on the left side of his neck was the entry wound and that Kirk's "neck of steel" stopped the round from exiting his body!!

Or maybe Kirk was hit with a "magic bullet" like JFK?

https://www.foxnews.com/us/charlie-kirk-ally-reveals-absolute-miracle-may-have-saved-lives-during-fatal-shooting.amp

Quote:

Turning Point USA spokesman Andrew Kolvet on Saturday said Charlie Kirk's surgeon called it an "absolute miracle" that the bullet that killed him didn't exit his body because dozens of people were standing behind him when he was shot.

"I want to address some of the discussion about the lack of an exit wound with Charlie. I'm usually not interested in delving into most of this kind of online chatter, and I apologize this is somewhat graphic, but in this case, the fact that there wasn't an exit wound is probably another miracle, and I want people to know," Kolvet, the executive producer of "The Charlie Kirk Show," wrote in a lengthy post on X.

Kolvet said he had just spoken with Kirk's surgeon, who told him the bullet "'absolutely should have gone through, which is very very normal for a high powered, high velocity round. I've seen wounds from this caliber many times and they always just go through everything. This would have taken a moose or two down, an elk, etc.'"

The doctor added that Kirk's "bone was so healthy and the density was so so impressive that he's like the man of steel. It should have just gone through and through. It likely would have killed those standing behind him too

Alex Jones with comments here on the claim that Charlie's neck of steel stopped a 30-06 from exiting his neck.

Alex incorrectly states that the spokesman said the "bullet was not found".

But regardless….Alex is right when he says here that the possibility of the Easter Bunny being real is greater than the official story on Kirk's assassination being real.
