I agree! I watched Tim Pool last night and they were talking about this subject (not specifically about Bondi) and they were talking about the funding of these actions. There may a place where this can be some type of racketeering.

Right now, I want to see how this gets played out; however, Bondi sounds like some left wingers saying hate speech is not constitutionally protected…

I view it much like the targeting call in football. it's a painful pill to swalllow but do we really want an interpretation of the specifics of the rule everytime? Wish it could be easy but i don't think it can be implemented without much downwind consternation and exposure to freedom.

Being that I agree with you speech being constitutional, which has been argued against, by people with like views as you, I think something we may need to consider.

Free Speech does have a tipping point when someone calls to action for something illegal. Now, Civ, I'm not versed enough to know where that line begins and ends. At the same time, we definitely need to be careful as a slippery slope could get created.

BTW, Megan Kelly is usually fairly level-headed about things. Here is her thoughts.

So you're saying the entire right wing media machine should be shut down? Ok, I'm listening! Hit pieces and misleading/false statements (without even an "oh, our bad"), and then on to the next outrage, definitely fills up about 80% of their airtime.

I think we can at least all agree that Werewolf behind bars for shamelessly spewing Russian disinformation for years would make the world a better place.

We already have laws and civil penalties in place to regulate and adjudicate making knowingly, bad faith, false statements that bring demonstrable harm to someone else.

That's what enabled Dominion to win a gazillion dollars in the Fox settlement.

That's the recourse. The government unconstitutionally regulating speech or the press ain't where it's at.

Two things....I would 100000000% be in favor of shutting down FOX if we can also shut down CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS, NPR, etc.

Maybe ole Obama was a f'n idiot for repealing the Smith-Mundt Act or, more likely knew exactly what he was doing.

You know, if we put Were in prison for Russian disinformation, he'd have a LOT of company, pretty much every Democrat in Congress along with Obama, Comey, Biden, all those "national security experts" who said it was true, etc..
