I only provided you with a link to one of the co-founders of BLM admitting that their organization is ideologically rooted in Marxism, with her explicitly stating "we are trained Marxists".
Not trying to get into a deep BLM debate, but setting the "trained Marxist" remark aside (whatever that actually means), what parts of the BLM message and stated goals do you disagree with? Just curious because, aside from "common sense gun control" which I imagine you'd take issue with, I really am curious what specific aspects of it as a movement you oppose?
Not directed at me, but BLM wants to end the nuclear family, overthrow the Constitution of the United States, reparations, capitalism, have the "State" take care of your children, revolution, end all patriarchy and on and on. They have trained on the theories of Marxism and Maoism. Tear down society and history so they can rebuild it in their image. It never ends well and lots of people die. It all leads to socialism and communism.

It doesn't want to end the nuclear family.

The exact quote:
" We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and "villages" that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable."

It's a weirdly written sentence. But it's not advocating to end the nuclear family, it's advocating to end the nuclear family requirement.

I'll be honest that I don't know exactly what the hell that means but it's also definitely not what you're saying it means.

I don't know much about BLM as an organization apart from what I've just now read on Wikipedia and the BLM website. It sounds like it's as much a social movement or concept as anything. Wikipedia says "As a movement, Black Lives Matter is grassroots and decentralized, and leaders have emphasized the importance of local organizing over national leadership."

I have the same understanding.

Apparently we are both totally wrong and misinformed but nobody will provide a source that can enlighten our ignorance.

You're joking, right? So not only do you not know how to use google.com, you also just skip over the post that directly linked to their site? Are you just trying to be dense here to troll or are you honestly willfully ignorant?
LOL, relax dude. You don't need to be this angry about anything.

Why would it be my responsibility to google evidence for a claim that somebody else made?

I've read their website. They're pretty clear that they're not some sort of centralized, monolithic organization. The idea that the cause is different from the organization doesn't have much evidence. That's all I'm saying.
Why would you assume I'm angry about anything you say? Just hilarious that we're like 6 pages deep and you're still on this thing that was literally pointed out 3 pages ago and you just skipped over it.

It is an organization, it is Marxist in rhetoric and purpose, and, while it shouldn't be, it is synonymous with the phrase. If black folks in particular don't want to associate with those ideals and focus on the EASILY relatable statement that all black lives matter then they should denounce any association with that organization that very clearly doesn't have the long-term benefit of the black community in their best interest.

Peaceful protest should be applauded and championed by anyone that believes in the first amendment. The fact that the phrase has been co-opted by Marxist propaganda which has cozied them up with Antifa and allowed rich, young, white kids with nothing better to do to steal agency from the black community and tied them inexorably from the violence that has accompanied many of these "peaceful" protests is both sad and easily divorced if done collectively by powerful black voices.

I don't doubt the black community feels picked on by the police. Perhaps they are in some way and perhaps it's a function of racial profiling based on probability. I'm not sure how to fix that, but I can certainly listen to well reasoned arguments that address issues faced by black folks in this country. I do know that the more they burn, loot, and kill in the name of black lives matter the more their cries will fall on deaf ears of those to whom they are trying to speak their plight.

It's tough to feel empathy when you just see them running around burning their own ****ing cities to the ground. Do they really think that's going to change anything? You can't talk about defunding the police while you literally burn down your own city. And the dudes they seemingly stick up for couldn't be worse for their cause. Celebrating a guy that was harassing the woman he raped, police tried to detain him, he resisted arrest and they shot him. THAT is the guy y'all really want to hang your hat on?

I don't feel anger towards any of you for whatever way you feel on this subject or really any subject for that matter. I don't know you and don't really care to so it's impossible for me to feel any sort of way about you as a handle on a sports website. However you decide to form your opinions is up to you. I just ask you to not be so obtuse about it, which is your MO on every thread you've ever commented on regardless of subject matter.

I'll hangup and listen. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Your general tone and the effort you put into that reply strike me as angry. Also that bit about me being obtuse and my MO; it tells me that I get under your skin and, well, make you angry.

I don't know why you keep talking about them being Marxist to me. You're tilting at windmills; I never said they weren't Marxist. I said I don't care if they are Marxist, and I said I don't understand this distinction people are making where they say they support the cause but not the organization. It's nonsensical to me.

Find me one single quote of me saying they aren't Marxist and I'll give you $50.

And yes, I don't think anyone, regardless of skin color, with a criminal record should be murdered for resisting arrest. This isn't complicated.
He doesn't seem angry.

Sexualization of children. The guy that's the head of content at Netflix also wrote the BLM manifesto for their website. Now they've put up a show called Cuties that is from what I've read just awful.

The new CSE curriculum they're trying to get into schools now is so bad you'd go to jail for distributing it. Yet, they're getting away with it as educational for our children in schools. Glenn Beck had to blur it out the other night on his show it was so bad. And it's for elementary kids.

Need to protect your kids folks. They are under attack.

People who don't want to educate themselves and are being patently obtuse need to do some self reflection. The CSE curriculum and the 1619 project are probably in your schools. Wake County has a diversity project that teaches BLM principles to your children. They want to overturn the system and burn it down and they are infecting your children and grandchildren to hate America, hate their parents, and most have no clue it's going on.

Right from the BLM website.

We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and "villages" that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.

I was hoping against hope the college guys could just play football.

NC State Football players walked through campus and Raleigh with black lives matter (not BLM) shirts today - hope you're ok with that
Don't care. That's not on game day.

They can do whatever when I'm not paying to see them play football.

Sports is supposed to be entertainment. If I wanted to see political crap, I'd watch the news instead. People watch sports to get away from all that crap.

Exactly.

Agree with what they want to do on their free time. But as far as COVID, it was okay to not go to Blacksburg to play a football game, but a large group can get together for a March?

I know y'all aren't college coaches but you ever coach middle school or high school kids?

Don't see how that's relevant. Middle and high school kids are not adults. They do what their coaches tell them or allow them to do.
They are not allowed into school on the basis of their athletic ability. They would be going to school whether they can play or not at that age.

College and Pros, are compensated in one way or the other. Most college players would not be in college if not for sports..

I know everyone likes to make fun of Carolina with all their exceptions in cheating to keep their non-qualified athletes eligible, but let's not act like our guys or any other ACC school's players are all scholars.
I would bet a lot of money that most of our team would not qualify to get into NC State academically.
The average SAT for an incoming freshman is 1335. No major football program has many of those, so nearly all of them are exceptions in one way or another.

The point of all that is, in addition to being paid now at least a little bit, and having an opportunity at a free education, free speech does not apply here. You agreed to bring your athletic ability to the school in exchange for an education, free room and board, and nowadays a little money. Plus, Pell Grants have always provided money for students from lower-income families, on top of what scholarships pay. So it's not like these guys have never been getting a dime.

It is entertainment, that fans pay big money to see. They do not pay that money to see kids that mostly do not deserve to even be in the school academically making political statements of any kind.
If these kids want to go to a march or a gathering on their own time, I have no problem with that at all. But when they are in the arena or stadium where fans are paying lots of money to see a game?
That is not the time or the place.

It's relevant because no coach would treat their kids that are dealing with important, mature, emotional issues that impact their lives the way you're suggesting they should. Coaches are role models, mentors, and father figures to these guys and girls.

No coach that purports to care for his kids is going to tell his or her players to pipe down and play [their sport] because free speech doesn't apply to them.

What players are telling you, that you don't want to hear, is that they're talking about their lives, not politics. They're telling you about their experience.

This isn't a bunch of kids banding together to support a tougher federal illegal immigration stance.

You/we/the media politicize and, throughout history up until this year, marginalize/minimize social justice issues. Black kids live it. It's not some abstract partisan political issue for players.

Free speech applies to everyone...

1) nobody has to listen
2) nobody has to give a damn
3) if your free speech is not on your own accord, then you Do have to adhere to who you may be affecting. For instance, if you work for a company, and use the companies platform, the company can absolutely shut down your free speech. Now, once you are out of the companies arena, then your free speech can go wild.
4) free speech does not mean you will not have consequences for it.

Poppycock.
They aren't telling us about their experience. They are just joining in with whatever they've seen on TV and what they have had preached to them all of their lives.

I would bet the rest of my years salary that the overwhelming majority of players on any given team have never experienced anything of the sort.

The majority of them IMO are just falling in line with pop culture and wanting to join in on it.

This whole line of BS that we are being fed that all black people have some cross to bear and have to live with this stuff daily is just b*******.

But at the end of the day, the fact of the matter is they are essentially being paid to do a job for the school, not to tell everyone their views on anything. I don't expect to see BLM symbols in a college football game just like I don't expect to see Trump or Biden, or Pro / anti abortion , or gay marriage or any type of religion stickers on any player's helmet.

I'm sure they all have opinions on those subjects as well, as do I. But I don't care what they think about them just like they shouldn't care what I think.
