Saw these guys at a place in Hollywood Fl, The Limelight, in the late 70's. Club ended up a dance club shortly after they came on the stage, helluva time.

I didn't until you posted this. Seems like he was running around about the same time as Jupiter Coyote, Cravin Melon and all those bands. Pretty sure The Gibb Droll band played our fraternity house on multiple occasions. Oh, the 90's.
Has anyone noticed that about half of the new garbage "music" that is coming out has explicit lyrics mentioning "p*ssy" and "d*ck" about 25 times through the song?
ABSOLUTE TRASH
I only encounter this music from seeing some of it pop up in advertisements while I'm listening to my music playlist on YouTube...or seeing some of it in "trending" dance videos that show up on social media, etc.
Yet another example of how we are literally moving towards living in the movie "Idiocracy".
Of course, this is all being pushed by the Satanic/Illuminati cabal that runs Hollywood and the music industry to deliberately debase and degrade the morals in society even further.
I'm not a music "historian" or whatnot and haven't listened to everything out there (no one could), but I've listened a decent amount of rock music. And in my opinion Stone Temple Pilots is the best rock band in history…or at least of all bands to reach a significant audience and level of popularity such that I've been able to listen to. And not that I'm endorsing all their lyrics. But "best" in terms of the overall "vibe" and sound of the music and epitomizing the genre of hard rock.
Yes, better than Led Zeppelin or The Rolling Stones or whoever else the industry "experts" try to tell us is the best. Those two are quite far down my list. I'm judging based on what resonates with me and what I'm drawn to, and disregarding the "peer pressure" of being told by so-called "authorities" in the subject, or how popular others were. For example, I don't care if every "expert" claims that The Beatles are "the best ever no question" or if they sold the most albums. I don't like most of their music and rarely ever get the urge to listen to a Beatles song. Sure, they have a few catchy songs that I like a little bit and if I hear one on the radio from time to time I can appreciate it.
When I want to listen to some good, badass rock music, I'm not listening to The Stones, and while I like a few Zeppelin songs, they are not on my YouTube "My Mix" (that YouTube generates based on what you listen to). The rock songs in "My Mix" on YouTube right now mostly consist of songs from Stone Temple Pilots, Motley Crue, Ozzy Osbourne, and Ratt.
Stone Temple Pilots have so many hits. Almost every single song off their first album, Core, could have been a single. Many of their best songs are tracks from Core and Purple that few know about because they did not have an official music video or get very little to no radio play - such as "Big Empty", "Sin", "Where The River Flows" , and "Silvergun Superman".
And as the true test of how great of musicians they were, their live performances are even better than the studio tracks.
