You are allowed to get better. I would certainly want him back. He is a quality arm to plug in somewhere. Maybe he is a back of thr bullpen guy instead of a starter.

I'm saying I'm coming back to be a midweek guy or middle reliever, that's me though. I want to start, either here or somewhere else my draft year.
Maybe he sticks in the rotation and Dudan in the pen? Will be interesting to see what happens.
Right but what are his options? Portal is closed and draft is over. He can go pro and make maybe $10k and peanuts after that. Or come back and work to get better
But you could be right, maybe the coaches just really like him and want him as a weekend guy. Personally, I hope not, but it's not my call
I'd imagine some kind of conversation was had at the end of the season between him and the coaches.
I'd just find it hard to believe he'd be coming back and giving up a weekend spot in the rotation during his draft year.
I wonder more about Dudan and if he actually moves to the rotation or not. I thought Villiman would have moved back to the rotation after his sophomore year but didn't.
I've been wrong plenty of times and could be here as well though.

For NC State reasons, if Andrews is starting and Dudan isn't, that is doing a big disservice and not giving NCSU the best chance to win. We have a decent sample size of both, and there is zero question who the more talented pitcher is (by a long shot). Dudan might suck as a starter, who knows, but you HAVE to give him that chance even if it hurts Andrews feelings. Nance too for that matter.

A $2,408,600 over slot deal.
Solid three-pitch mix with developing FB velocity, great feel to spin and solid control to tie it all together.

ECU made an absolute HR of a hire replacing their hitting coach with Jake Gautreau most recently of Miss State. He's known as a very good 'crooter.

They already have one of the best crooter's in the business as well in Palumbo. Say what you want about ECU (and none of us are obviously fans of the school), but their baseball staff, and their general committment to baseball, is very impressive.
