Fraasman and Hogue are probably going to sign UDFA deals if not drafted. If one was to stay, it'll be Hogue IMO

By my count, the players in that lineup that were in college last year combined to hit 54 HR. I'll take the over, even though we don't really know the full roster yet.

12 of those being JUCO homers? I'm getting 42 ncaa baseball home runs in 2025 from that group.

Anyway, your point is taken. The roster isn't complete.

Just not a lineup that scares anyone as currently constructed.

Look at the GT lineup... now that is scary.

Yeah, the post clearly said college, of which JUCO qualifies. Every single year, guys we being in eclipse their power numbers from their previous stop or previous year. It's actually pretty remarkable. I'm not even going to bother to type the actual numbers, cause you'll just poo poo them somehow, but there's years of data showing that we're damn good at maximizing guys power. So yeah, we'll hit 50 homers, easily.

Why would you sign when you have another year left to come back and improve your stock? Not saying it won't happen but not sure it is the best advice trying to start that grind with the chance of being cut and out of ball in a couple months.

As JUCO guys, both Hogue and Fraasman (should) have that extra JUCO year to use so they prolly do have some more leverage.

That's what I was saying, Fraasman has multiple years left for leverage. Hogue has at least one as well. Unless someone is going to give me a decent deal, I'd rather come back and try to show a little more. Worst case you sign next year for probably not much difference in money.

I should just add that it is so hard predicting what guys will do when it comes to pro ball and I really gave up guessing a while back.

I can see a team liking Fraasman but with his numbers this past year maybe he comes back and tries to prove he can hit a little more.

I can only speak for myself but I'd rather come back to school and get some NIL money and try to get drafted as a slot saver the next year.

Also, I just looked it up and I was dated on my info. MLB changed the $20K deal in 2022, so now anything over $150K counts against the pool.

So yeah, if some team offers up something north of $75K or so I'd probably leave myself.

McHugh has good speed and was a very good defensive first baseman this year. I don't see why he couldn't be a good outfielder. He's a better athlete than 99% of colllege first basemen.

This will send up the bat signal to CLT, but I would really prefer to not just stick a guy at first base. I'm a big believer in having really good defensive first basemen, it really makes the infield much much better. McHugh surprised me a bit there this season, started out a little slow, but ended up pretty good in that regard. I'm not opposed to moving him to the outfield at all, I just hope whomever takes over at first is equal to or better than him in the field.

I thought Novy looked good at first when he filled in for Mchugh when he was hurt. He fits in better there defensively imo.

Thought he did a good job, I like a tall guy there. Ideally, I would really love to have a lefty fielding player in that spot. Loved guys like Evan Edwards and Austin Murr.
