Giants defense would make any pitcher mad
#SFGiants also now listening on their veterans. Carlos Rodon and Joc Pederson are among obvious candidates if they do sell. Rodon has an opt out and Pederson is free after the year.

From @EliasSports about the Giants' Carlos Rodon, who is scheduled to start for the Giants tonight: This season, 57 percent of the hits he has allowed have come with two strikes in the count––by far the highest rate in the majors. No other qualifier is above 46% in that category

Carlos has to figure out how to go a bit longer in games. I know it's tough for a power pitcher like him to do that, but the Giants **** bullpen has cost him at least 3 or 4 wins this year.
Still, was a great performance from him, especially the 6th after he loaded the bases and struck out the side. Interested to see what he decides to do this offseason. I hope he goes to a legit contender.
Yeah, but he has like 2 pitches, so I think that makes it easier for hitters to sit on whichever pitch they prefer. It's an elite fastball and slider, no doubt. But it leads to lots of foul balls and batters getting really deep in counts. I think he dropped the changeup from last year, but he threw ONE curve yesterday. He needs to expand his pitch repertoire if he wants to take another step as a dominant pitcher.Wolfer79 said:griff17matt said:Wolfer79 said:Wolfer79 said:

when I looked at box score at end of inning, I do rough math on pitches per inning. Through 5 innings Rodon was around 12-13 pitches per inning, which is 108-117 for 9 innings.
6th inning yesterday with walk, couple of hits leading to bases loaded withand the 3 strikeouts to end inning with no runs scored drove up pitch count to around 100 after 6
4 pitch double
6 pitch single to left, runners 1st and 3rd
6 pitch strike out
8 pitch walk
4 pitch strike out
8 pitch strike out
36 pitch inning
