NC State baseball’s season will continue this weeked in the NCAA regional round. After falling just short in a 1-0 loss to Duke in the ACC Championship Game, the Wolfpack will look to advance to a Super Regional for the first time since 2013 by winning the Ruston, Louisana Regional, hosted by Louisiana Tech.

After starting the regular season 1-8 and then finishing 24-6 and making it the conference title game, the Pack will be the 2-seed in this regional behind 1-seed Louisiana Tech. The Wolfpack will start things off against 3-seed Alabama Friday at 3 p.m. on ESPN3. 4-seed Rider rounds out the group.

Alabama went 31-24 overall this year and finished 11th in a loaded SEC. Louisana Tech went 40-18 and fell to Old Dominion in the Conference USA Championship game. Rider finished 23-16 but won the MAAC Tournament.

The winner of this regional would face the winner of the Fayetteville, Araknas Regional, hosted by No. 1 overall seed Arkansas, in the Super Regional round.

Stay tuned to IPS for much more on NC State’s upcoming matchups in this regional.

Tatum hit his hardest ball in a week by keeping his hands in and letting it travel and driving it misdle/backside, Tresh drives middle, Brown drives middle equals 2 mammoth bombs...LOVE IT!!!

For all hitting lessons, just hop in my DMs

Nope, both driven up the middle by guys letting the ball travel, keeping their hands in, and driving it up the middle!

Super efficient start for RJ. Got a little lucky in the first, dominant in the second and third innings

Mine is a combination of baseball, hockey, and very little golf education. The good news is that every time I go play, I get over 100 hacks, which is how you get your money's worth on a round.

Tatum looks much more comfortable...head is down and he's watching the ball and not pulling off, regardless of how this AB turns out

I can fix your golf swing. Lesson one is to definitely not try and hit it to the opposite field! Seriously, I'm a very good golfer, I could give swing lessons.

Part of my golf problem is that my slice makes it look like i'm trying to hit to the opposite field.

Tresh stayed in on that and didn't pull off, just a little out in front of it and just missed it, but he and Tatum are definitely letting it travel and keeping their hands in and the results speak

Turn your top hand over so that you can see at least three knuckles when you have the club gripped. It will reflexively make you roll the club face closed on the down swing. If it works, you will start hooking the hell out of it, then you just weaken the grip back some to straighten it out. There's lots of other ways to straighten out a slice, and way more detail you can get into with club path and all that, but learning to hook the ball is the best IMO.

I'm surprised Bama hasn't tried to bunt to break up RJ's rhythm, but our fielding has been perfect so far so maybe that has discouraged them.

What about if you hook 2, fade 3, draw 2, and then hook the next one? Normally I just move on to the 2nd hole but interested in your thoughts?? Lol
