Wolfpack wrestler, Koy Buesgens, has been named as one of the Co-ACC Wrestlers of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday, January 28.
The redshirt freshman recorded a 4-1 decision in the Pitt dual in Raleigh Friday night to earn his 15th win of the season. He took down 2024 NCAA Qualifier Finn Solomon who was ranked No. 21 at the time while Buesgens was ranked No. 29.
Buesgens is currently ranked 21st in the 149 pound weight class by InterMat, as of this morning.

To me, the two biggest matches no one is talking about is 141 and HWT. Need Tyler Tracy to keep the score down and not give up bonus points. Conversely, need to get bonus points out of Trumble against an unranked guy.

State is in a little trouble now. Love that the unc 174 was able to run for 50 seconds and only get called for stalling once, and by that time it was too late for him to get hit twice.

Big credit to UNC, they are much improved. And while lacking in knowledge, their crowd was loud and present, which is great for the sport in the state.
Last thing I'll say. That ref was super ass. Match should've never come down to the last match. Straight up stole the Orine match to start the night, then continued to hit the Pack with stalling, while letting UNC's bigger weights run for their lives.
