Wolfpack wrestler, Koy Buesgens, has been named as one of the Co-ACC Wrestlers of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday, January 28.

The redshirt freshman recorded a 4-1 decision in the Pitt dual in Raleigh Friday night to earn his 15th win of the season. He took down 2024 NCAA Qualifier Finn Solomon who was ranked No. 21 at the time while Buesgens was ranked No. 29.

Buesgens is currently ranked 21st in the 149 pound weight class by InterMat, as of this morning.

Sixth-ranked NC State wrestling hits the road to Chapel Hill to face crosstown rival 18th-ranked North Carolina Friday night. The dual marks the Wolfpack's fourth conference match-up of the season, while both are unbeaten in ACC action.

Dual-Meet Info
Start time for the dual is slated for 7 p.m. on ACC Network Extra with commentary by Ian Unsworth and Clay Lautt.

The match will take place in Carmichael Arena in Chapel Hill, N.C.

Certainly could come down to bonus points. UNC beat VT so they're certainly improved.

To me, the two biggest matches no one is talking about is 141 and HWT. Need Tyler Tracy to keep the score down and not give up bonus points. Conversely, need to get bonus points out of Trumble against an unranked guy.
