Should Assange and Snowden be pardoned?
I can’t quite believe what I’m reading so let’s go slow.

The FBI’s former attorney was hired by previous Twitter management, and was the one vetting the files to be given to @bariweiss & @mtaibbi that might reveal FBI collusion…and new owner @elonmusk wasn’t told any of this??? https://t.co/xwfgwcKV4K

If Twitter could see your DMs as detailed in the #TwitterFiles / #TwitterFiles2 drop, doesn't this mean they had countless exchanges of Child Pornographic Materials through DMs on their radar and just sat on it despite having tools to stop, report, and suppress it?
— Malcolm Fle✘ - Amoral Mercenary (@Malcolm_fleX48) December 9, 2022
Then I think we need to start asking that given the entanglement of Twitter and the Feds, plus the fact that Baker was on staff at Twitter, did the FBI have a backdoor into the DMs as well?

The FBI & CIA went to Big Tech and the mainstream media and asked for their help destroying the First Amendment, Donald Trump and the Republican party. Big Tech & the media happily obliged.

My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) December 11, 2022
Quote:
Musk has refused to go along, and he's highlighting what is ultimately a clash of values. It's independent thinking vs. the herd mentality; free speech over and above an ideology of "safety"; a tough-minded focus on work and the bottom line in opposition to the priorities of an entitled, woke workforce.
This is all playing out in the battle for the soul of Twitter, assuming it has one. The platform had become a progressive playpen. Woke writers and activists, for good reason, expected it to be run according to their worldview and by rules favorable to their interests.
Not anymore. The fearless, shoot-from-the-hip Musk is, like Trump before him, a barbarian at the gate and a heretic. His takeover of Twitter is like the Vikings sacking the famous English monastery of Wearmouth-Jarrow in the eighth century. Questioning Fauci is like the Albigensians challenging monotheism in the 13th century. Mocking pronouns is like questioning divine-right kingship in the age of absolute monarchies.
This is why the fight over Twitter, which is itself not that important "Twitter is not real life," as the clich has it is so heated and bitter. It's ultimately over whether progressive ideology will maintain its default status in elite precincts of America, and whether a high-profile dissenter can survive and thrive.
Quote:
Weiss reported "that teams of Twitter employees build blacklists, prevent disfavored tweets from trending, and actively limit the visibility of entire accounts or even trending topicsall in secret, without informing users."
Internally, company executives called the practice "visibility filtering," or "VF," Weiss reported.
"Think about visibility filtering as being a way for us to suppress what people see to different levels. It's a very powerful tool," a senior Twitter employee told Weiss.
"We control visibility quite a bit. And we control the amplification of your content quite a bit. And normal people do not know how much we do," two Twitter employees told her.
