And speaking of "frustrating"...imagine the level of frustrations that trained medical doctors, virus specialists, and community health officials must think to say one thing, and have politics and "its my right" advocates on FB and social media try to fight them and dispute them all along teh line.
Are you saying that people don't have the right to determine what goes into their own bodies, and whether or not they want to take an injection of some unknown mystery concoction into their body?
No -- you absolutely have that right. I disagree with the conclusions you post on here, and particularly that this is some sort of new world order thing, but it's your right to object. Whether you are right or wrong, I know you have at least put lots of thought into it.
However, I think there are a lot of people out there who have been misinformed about "government intent" here, and think somehow that doing something taht is proven to improve their likelihood to survive this, is infringing upon their rights. And its often spoken from the mouths of those who complain that others have made this political. Like the mother/grandmother in the FB post from a friend of mine I shared above....who went with her rights above her health....now her young grandkids don't have a grandmother.
THAT, to me, should make doctors/health advocates/etc -- people who've spent their lives and careers trying to make others healthier -- very frustrated.
The government and the messaging regarding vaccines and masking mandates has been a hot mess and done a lot of harm. This is discussed in the video I linked above and I highly recommend watching the entire video. They had one chance to get it right and they failed. Many people already have a high distrust of government and they have done things that have reinforced this distrust.
I'd argue that they still have a chance to get it right. They have to be willing to compromise and admit when they've gotten it wrong. People are STARVING for that kind of leadership.
Edited to add that i know it'll never happen with the clowns in Washington (or Raleigh).
Sadly, we are way too late for the mea culpa. I don't think anyone who is currently involved (and public facing) in the health policy decision making at a federal/state level could even feign the level of remorse needed to bring the public back.
Need to clean house completely, bring in fresh honest faces, who can admit the previous political hacks and self aggrandizing narcissists 'got it wrong'.
Then... and only then... can we start to rebuild public trust... one brick at a time.
Who should be part of the "clean house" group? Who would you recommend being brought in after the house is clean?
As I don't have intimate knowledge of the organizational structure of the public health hierarchy, I wouldn't know, and I while I have 'my favorites'... I am sure anyone who has been at all public at this point will be considered tainted. But we need rational data oriented people, not political hysterics.
Basically, 'who' should be brought in is outside my purview
The short answer on who needs to go is 'EVERYBODY'. Is it practical... no. But it needs to be done.
But Fauci and Walensky (and basically whoever puts out the sham CDC cherry picked 'studies) should both be gone like yesterday. Or at least removed from public facing roles and gagged. It goes much broader than that, but that would be a start.
EDIT: Just to add. I get Fauci seemed like a dose of juxtaposed sanity when it came to the early pandemic and Trump. But if you really can not see him for the "me first" narcissistic bureaucrat (who it is not outside the realm of possibility had at least a small degree of fault for the pandemic), who's own self-interests MAY occasionally intersect with public health... BUT is likely to cause more harm than good.... I recommend you take a good hard look in the mirror and re-evaluate your entire world view.
Fauci is not a 'good actor'.
-Walensky is just a hysterical politicized MUPPET and if she at one point had any credibility, it is long gone.
To that CDC end, the CDC MMWR propaganda arm should be disbanded.... or at least reformed and include somebody who has greater than a high school level of statistics or data analysis. Additionally, all their cherry picked to fit a narrative, anecdotal studies should be subject to serious peer-review prior to being made public. The fact that the CDC has decided to eschew actual science and data in order to bow to whatever political winds happen to be blowing is a disservice to us all. It is great that they have a solid team infographic creators, but we don't need cute tweets right now.... we need ACTUAL science (not the narrative 'the science').
