The problem is that nobody has cared about the number of "flu cases" in ages, flu deaths is what people focus on. It quickly became the same for Covid, counting "cases" became impossible. So every time I looked at your cheesy graphic my brain kept switching the numbers and scales to what people would normally care about, deaths... typically around 35,000 flu deaths/year.

But again, why didn't the graphic add a couple more lines for the subsequent years? Which would of course show that Covid kept rising while flu quickly went back to normal after the lockdowns.
