CLT said it in the meme/photo, Dalton Bargo from Tennessee. Middle of the order bat for the Vols, hit .272 with 14 HRs and 14 doubles this year. He finished the season in a big slump, at the beginning of May he was hitting .318 and was a key guy for UT. K rate is a little high, but it's clear he can really hit a baseball.
The catch is he never entered the portal and NCSU would need a waiver/work around to get him.

No, unless Fraasman leaves I think he stays in right. Staff never gave up on him last year.
Don't see any way Mchugh plays anywhere but 1B or DH from what he showed last season. Got better options defensively elsewhere than putting him in OF

We haven't even seen him play the OF and he can't be any worse than Hogue out there.
Has also been mentioned that he was transitioning to OF next year.

McHugh is a very solid athlete for his size, and is probably plays the OF at the professional level. Now, I have no idea how it will play out, but it might come down to Wiggins or McHugh out there? Wiggins is probably a bigger athlete, but I personally do not have any numbers on him defensively

I told CLT earlier that I can see staff being loyal to McHugh like they were with Groover at 3rd. Let him play there until he proves he can't. He has to move to the OF to help his draft profile.

Yeah I agree with this. Don't see how Novy beats out Wiggins in this situation. A kid with "day 1 potential" isn't going to be on the bench unless he just realllly struggles AND Novy is too good not to play.
This is way in advance but that entire lineup outside of Novy and Ryan (I think) are either draft eligible or graduate.

Yeah if McHugh stays at 1B I think that's ideal but all signs point to him playing in the OF. Novy gets pushed to the bench if McHugh stays at 1B and Wiggins in LF.
Maybe Fargo plays 1B and Wiggins or Frassman DH if McHugh goes in the OF?

Our biggest returning power bat, cannon in right field, would be very surprising for him to get benched. I'd have him penciled in the everyday lineup before I did someone like Novy personally, even though I like Novy's potential.
