Not sure how it all works, but I know he was on campus last week for meetings and summer prep. Obviously at a certain point you have to go if drafted high, but pretty sure we'll see him next year.

Got Mikey Ryan from LSU, and as of now would assume he is our starting SS next year. Looks like a legit athlete that can handle the bat some, he is the type of kid you put in the 7/8 hole to start the year and like him try to cause some havoc down there. Hopefully the defense plays

To follow up on this- he has a .940 fielding % in the summer league with 4 errors over 15+ games. He is listed as a SS, so I am assuming that is where he is getting most reps (didn't confirm).

For reference- Decriscio had a .955 fielding % and Butterworth had a .949% the year prior.

I am Ok bringing in a highly rated freshman who couldn't crack the lineup at LSU, that is different than somewhere like Georgia Tech.

We *should* have 4-6 guys that would fit this criteria (proven bats) going into next year.

McHugh
One of Fraasman/Hogue (hopefully here)
Devin Mitchell (2 year JUCO standout)

Upside guys:

Novy
M. Ryan

Got to fill in the gaps after that, not including Rett Johnson or A. West who could compete for reps if we get them on campus (especially West when it comes to getting them on campus)

My reference was more of production at the college level in a high-level conference and I am ok bringing in P4 guys that didn't play if supplemented with production guys (similar to Fraasman & McHugh)

And if West does can move C.McHugh27 or B.Novy50 to the Outfield or DH just saying if West Has a very good fall and January before the season starts

I'm about shocked McCugh hasn't moved to corner OF he will about absolutely have to in pro ball.

That would free up a bigger bat as well.
