ncsu, I didn't make it to Ace yesterday. Did some things around the house and went to a presentation last night with Coach Holloway from the NCSU swim team.

Are you guys talking about the Ace Speedway in the Western Alamance HS district just north of Bigger, Better?

Another road course and another SVG clinic.

Spent the day with the wife yesterday, and only checked out the race for less than one lap total and SVG was up over six seconds, and I was like "why even bother"?

Serious question: why isn't this guy driving for a F1 team somewhere?

*Can't wait for him to be gone to somewhere else... anywhere else actually.

Not sure about the F1 angle, Justin Marks found this guy and the rest is history. What's getting scary is how fast SVG is starting to get better at the ovals. He still has his days but the guy is getting there. The way he can gain speed by rolling the brake and throttle is amazing on these road courses.

When I started watching SVG was 3 seconds behind Gibbs. Zilisch was second. Then he pitted. Next thing I look up and SVG blew by Gibbs and the rest was history. That was with 9 laps left

Wild, I think SVG made up 29 seconds in 18 laps and won by 7?

I knew he was starting to get better on the SHORT tracks, but I hadn't noticed it as much beyond that, but now you are going to make me go look, lol...

.@TexasRoadhouse + @HighRockVodka added five additional primary paint schemes to their Cars Tour deal with @LandonHuffman after debuting at Nashville in April.

That included Ace Speedway this past weekend, and coming up will be Langley, Dominion, North Wilkesboro and Hickory.

Rumor going around that Corey Heim is being considered for the 48. I saw this yesterday but I'm going to reach out to someone to see how true or untrue this is.

That would be a big win for Hendrick, as I've watched Heim race for many years and he is a dang good driver. He has been primarily a Toyota guy most of his career, all the way back to running late models for Lee Pulliam, trucks with KBM and Tricon, and Cup cars with 23XI. Will be interesting to keep an eye on this for sure.

Guys do swap manufacturers though. Josh Berry was full on Chevrolet with Jr Motorsports and now drives for the Wood Brothers.

It happens for sure. I thought Corey already had a contract for 2311?

He drives for them now, not sure what his contract is

I'll try and find something on his contract. It's hard nowadays because those things aren't really public.

.@Airbnb is getting into the NASCAR realm, reaching a deal with @NASCAR Holdings and Speedway Motorsports to embed its listings into some of their tracks' websites.

Agreement includes Bristol, Martinsville, Darlington, Talladega and North Wilkesboro.

I believe that the name is Corey Day not Heim. Makes more sense now.

.@FS1 averaged a 1.06 rating and 1.928 million viewers for Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series Go Bowling at The Glen, per @Nielsen data.

No direct comparison to last year since Watkins Glen is typically held at the end of summer.

Not sure how I feel about this? Better than making the teams go to Mexico City. Sorry for the paywall

I get the why, but the best racing we have is the 1.5s. My hope is that this replaced the naval base race. The teams didn't seem happy with Mexico.

(Trying to figure out what that new padlock symbol that is popping up when I scroll is about)

Edited to add: must not apply to me... yet.

Anyone have any early thoughts on Dover this weekend?

I'm worried about the future of that track. Now as for the race, keeping an open mind about it, looks like resin is going to be applied.

No, I can see everything just fine, but there is now a red circle with a white padlock symbol in it (in the locked position), that pops up on the left edge of my screen when I start scrolling down as I am reading a thread. That's why I did the test to see if it had anything to do with me or something I may have done, but everything seems to be working like it always has.

*Sure not going to try clicking on it though until I hear what it's for.

With Kathrine and her situation she has a shot at getting both races in. I believe Tony is the only driver who has completed all 1100 miles. I only say this because she doesn't have to worry about either qualifying or making the chase.

That's my point. So, she doesn't even have to qualify for either of them?

I don't think Indy does the last row qualifying anymore? As for the 600, I doubt that is a full field. Either way, still cool for a 45 year old to try it. She isn't going to get the headlines.

I believe I saw where there are only 33 entries for the 500 so she is guaranteed a spot
