What a **** show. Will nascar stop with all the stupid gimmick **** and please get back to the roots of the sport. I'm so tired of them trying so hard to appeal to a different fan base. Just get back to being really good at appealing to the fan base that got you here. Stop with the tiny ass non race tracks, stop with the street races, stop with all the damn road courses. Hell if I wanted to watch road course and street racing I'd watch F1. Get back on the big tracks and go fast….. damn I'm tired of NASCAR trying dumb ****

You need to stay as an ongoing contributor to this thread. Too much common sense.

I watched about 10 minutes of that foolishness right after they came back from the sleet delay and then I had to find something else to watch.

Personally I could do without the Clash and the All Star race. The road racing is being scaled down, Chicago is gone, replaced by Chicagoland, Roval is gone to. The reason that the Clash moved was because nobody was watching and going to Daytona anymore. Finally, there are too many cars for that small track. Like Storm said, stay around and contribute, the more the better.

When they switched to Fox Sports 1 or 2, I quit watching. Who won?

Glad Ryan won.

Bowman Gray has it's place in racing......but it's not the Cup cars. That was terrible, just like last year. It's too small, too tight for these cars and the horsepower they put down. There was a wreck every 2 laps there, especially after the sleet delay.

I didn't watch most of it, just too frustrating. I just kept checking in from time to time.

Really happy for Ryan. With the emotion he showed post race, you could tell it really meant something to him.

I don't mind the clash. It's a good exhibition for the drivers and teams to get the competitive juices flowing again before Daytona. Just have it at a track that actually makes sense. Have it somewhere that the drivers can actually race and the teams can actually use a little data from. Doesn't need to be across the country either. These teams are really focusing on Daytona so help them logistically and keep it relatively close. Rockingham??

I don't mind the race, I'd like to see the field cut and make it a 50-70 lap race. The LCQ was fun and honestly better than the main.

The track is just too short and narrow for much passing, the guy on the outside would get run into the wall most of the time coming out of turn 4. And it's too flat so when you get bumped, a lot of times you go around. Just not fun for the Cup series. Leave it to local Friday night races, that's fun to watch.

NASCAR has been trying to fix something for years that IMHO wasn't broken. So what if attendance was down at Daytona. It was still a better race. Teams use to get the entire month of Feb to prep for Daytona. No travel. Last half of May used to be the All Star Race and the 600. No travel. All within a stones throw of their shops. You don't see Indy throwing a random race into the schedule during May. Rant over.
