It's time to start asking the question...is Katelyn Tuohy the NCAA distance running G.O.A.T.? pic.twitter.com/pi6fDVAP9H

The only other woman in the conversation is Jenny Simpson. But Katelyn still has quite a few NCAA seasons left if she wants them.GuerrillaPack said:It's time to start asking the question...is Katelyn Tuohy the NCAA distance running G.O.A.T.? pic.twitter.com/pi6fDVAP9H

NC state 3rd in the women's DMR with a 10:52. Tuohy ran an absurd 4:23.36 anchor split. State was over 9 seconds down when she got the baton and she made up over 6 seconds on the leaders but wasn't quite enough. Savannah Shaw and Caroline Lewis both were gapped by 5+ seconds on their legs leaving Bush (3rd fastest 800 split) and Tuohy (fastest 1600 split by 6 seconds) in a big hole.
yeah. If i had my wish we'd take some scholarship money (not a ton mind you, but just enough to give away a few partials) away from distance and direct some scholarship money towards sprints and field events. As much as i love the depth of our distance program and cross country success id like to do a little better in track and field as well. The men and women combining for 1 acc track title in the last ~35 years is ridiculous.toddl said:jadawson said:

5th place after the first leg isn't good, but the 400 leg being slowest in the field by a full 2 seconds (and 6 seconds slower than the winner) is, um, no good. 7th place after 2 legs with 9 seconds to make up isn't gonna cut it. Bush ran strong and Tuohy ran her normal unbelievable (pretty close to her collegiate record for the mile - DMR being a relay split and 1600), but those two alone can't win the entire race.
