so you're good with bad policy when it's Republicans?

So you're good with bad policy when it's democrats?
in fact I wasn't if you would like to go back through the history of this forum you will see that when Biden proposed to pay for everyone's college education, I said it was a terrible policy.

That's just one example of probably dozens of where I did not agree with the Biden administration's policy. But you guys refuse to recognize that stuff because you're such Trump lovers that all you pay attention to is when I criticize this administration and policies. You don't even recognize when I agree with the policies that Trump is administered.

Regime change in Iran was his one example of where I agreed with the policy until Trump got tired of it because he doesn't want to commit to actually doing what needs to be done

Just for the record are you calling for boots on the ground?

I want to make sure there is no misunderstanding?

Now? By the most unserious clown show the presidency in the United States has ever seen? When all Trump wants to do is stand at podiums and slur his way through speeches about dude's Johnsons and asses?

Now's probably not a good time for us to dick around with BOG in Iran. There could hardly be a worse idea on the planet.

The time for boots on the ground was a year ago when Iranians were in the streets. We all remember. It was around the same time Trump said he'd have their back. Sometime between when he said he'd have their back, and when they got slaughtered by the regime because he didn't have their back at all, would have been the time for BOG.

Not now. Not by this totally inept clown show. Now we just need to GTFO because these loons can't manage their way out of a wet paper bag much less competently topple a dug-in regime.

More of the same.

Talk about low-information voters.

You may not like "Democrat" solutions but at least they don't weave a rich tapestry of totally fake problems for consumption by the low or no-information portion of their base.

Didn't want to come back to this thread, but this is something I've been thinking about a lot recently as someone who doesn't particularly like the current administration. What exactly are the Democrats actually offering? I don't particularly care about Trump, so going after him does nothing for me. Is there an actual direction they want to go or is everything just "GET Trump?!??!"

Like, I see Roy Coopers advertisements and there isn't a single mention of his accomplishments as Governor (of note, he's going to win by a very large margin). Makes you think...

Democrats have nothing but hate. That's why none of them here EVER have anything to say about their party…it's always something-something Trump.

I will be so glad when President Trump's term is complete so everyone can see the democrat party for who they truly are.

If you're talking about Cooper running attack ads, yeah, we can all agree attack ads aren't great, but they've been the norm for eons. They're totally non-notable.

Democrats are the opposition party at this point. Republicans have been in complete control the last two years and have totally **** the bed so yeah, "Trump bad" marketing is expected both because it's true and it will land/work. His corruption, illegal tariffs, and cluster-**** Iran War have been simply horrible for America and Americans. Republicans would be stupid to not do the exact same thing, were the roles reversed.

The issue at hand though is, are Democrats doing anything remotely similar to Republicans completely fabricating existential crises like imminent Sharia law or transgender sex changes in schools?

The problem is twofold - the lies, and also the obvious fact they're lying because they are too weak and inept to stand up and do what's right, which is check Trump's demented and illegal policies.

There is simply no proxy for this on the left. The Republican Party was captured in 2016 and turned into a cult, and the weakness and timidity and lack of gumption by this Congress will be lamented and analyzed for generations.

Not gonna argue about the tariffs/Iran war cause I agree with it for the most part. I do find it kind of ironic on the last paragraph given Bidens administration cause that's exactly how I see the current makeup of the Democrats.

FBI blames North Korea for stolen billions from Binance in biggest hack in history

New York -- The theft of billions of dollars from Binance within a matter of minutes, the biggest crypto heist in history, was orchestrated by North Korean hackers, the FBI said Saturday.

The bureau said in a statement that this week's attack was tied to "malicious cyber activity" by an entity known as TraderTraitor, the same actors behind a $1.5 billion Bybit hack last year.

Left-Wing Coup Attempt in Poland as Protests Grip Capital

https://www.thecommonsense.co.za/Global/left-wing-coup-attempt-poland-as-protests-grip-capital
- - -

Poland was thrown into crisis this weekend after an attempt to suspend senior judges, as security forces cordoned off its constitutional court and street protests erupted. At the centre of the crisis is the Constitutional Tribunal, the country's constitutional court, whose senior leadership was suspended on Friday in circumstances that prompted opposition leaders to accuse Prime Minister Donald Tusk's government of staging a coup d'tat.
- - -

This is being pushed by the Globalists elites in the E.U. and more specifically, the leftist government of Germany.

The left is in trouble in many Western European countries (Germany holds national elections next year) and this is finial push to put Poland on the Euro, move Polands gold reserves to Germany and give room for E.U. countries to move millions of illegal third world invaders into new land.

Respectfully, were you living under a rock during the Biden administration's open borders where at least 10 million illegals, from all parts of the world, flooded into our country?

It all starts with mass migration from mostly third world countries. The legislation will be amnesty. The policy will be sell the country out for votes and have one party rule. Leaders promoting it? From Obama to Governors and Mayors to legislators and judges in sanctuary Sates and cities to the media. We see it everyday where democrats and leftists refuse to work with immigration control.

If you don't recognize Islam and the transgender psychological malady for the very different, but definite, threats that they are, there isn't much point in discoursing with you on those matters. Clearly, the Republicans aren't doing enough to deal with these threats. Equally clearly, the Democrats are doing nothing to deal with these same matters.

Firstly, It's disingenuous to point all the issues in Europe to immigration, Islam, and wokeness. The US has systemically pulled back from Europe and decided to wage its own war in Iran, to nobodies benefit except perhaps Big Oil. There has been a major cost of living crisis in Europe ever since the Ukraine war started. We have told Russia "have at it". My foreign policy would always be to blockade Russia and defend NATO. Removing it does not help us.

Secondly, consumer spending is way down. It's almost zero. Businesses projections are down across the board. People aren't spending money, so the strain is on anyone who is not a billionaire. My day to day is different, I support my entire family (parents included). I'm the first college grad of my family. So yeah, it is different for me. This is not the sign of a functioning economy. My policy would be to stop providing corporate welfare and cutting individual citizen programs to support it.

The billionaire class has flourished, they are spending more and more on influencing our politics, gaining control of major industries (AI for one) with zero regulation. There is no benefit to regular Americans to have such a concentration of wealth.

Just don't let the immigration story blind you from the centralization of money and power under this administration.

If you want to stick to your hardline immigration policy, I'm not really that offended by that. But to me it sounds like you're willing to turn a blind eye to literally everything else because of it, which is where I see the fault.

What I've seen in this midterm election is people aren't voting for abstract problems they heard about on the news, more what's on their front door. We'll see on Tuesday.

Some fine points you make and well articulated.

As someone who spends a lot of time throughout Europe both working and living, I'll politely disagree with you. All of Europes problems start and end with mass migration from third world countries. Islam is a major part of that. There is a clear difference in countries like England and Germany and a country like Poland. It's night and day and it's because two of those countries are overrun with third worlders and one is not.

Robust consumer spending, AI-related investment power US economy in third quarter

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-economic-growth-accelerates-third-quarter-2026-10-29/

Gross domestic product increased at a 3.4% annualized rate last quarter, the quickest since the third quarter of 2025, the Commerce Department's Bureau of Economic Analysis said in its first estimate of third-quarter GDP. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast GDP advancing at a 3.2% pace.
The economy is expanding at a pace that is well above what some Fed officials regard as the non-inflationary growth rate of around 2%. Stocks on Wall Street were trading lower. The dollar slipped against a basket of currencies. US Treasury yields fell.

The daily doom and gloom from the media is pushing this narrative of a terrible economy. Outside of higher gas prices, it ain't true.

Billionaires in politics is nothing new. You want to change that, change the law but it needs to apply to both sides not just the side we disagree with. Likewise, you want to tax billionaires…fine with me. Tax the ever living sh*t out of Soros, Oprah, Gates, Buffet, JayZ and MeBron, Hollywood, media…etc. Make sure we tax them all not just the side we disagree with.

We agree that November 3rd will be very interesting.

President Trump has agreed to grant a visa to the mother of a 15-year-old Bronx boy who was shot to death on his way to school, allowing her to travel from Ghana to NYC to mourn her son in person, NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani said Saturday.

"The murder of a child is a pain no parent should have to endure, let alone from thousands of miles away," the mayor said on X.

"Javits Frimpong's mother deserves to say goodbye to her son in person. I just got off the phone with President Trump and he has agreed to grant her visa immediately. All of New York City is mourning this tragedy."

More of the same.

Talk about low-information voters.

You may not like "Democrat" solutions but at least they don't weave a rich tapestry of totally fake problems for consumption by the low or no-information portion of their base.

Do you not see what is happening across some of Europe's largest cities because of mass migration, Islam and socialism?

That is exactly what will happen in America given the democrats plan and another 20 years. We are lucky to have two oceans separating us from the world.

Would it kill you to acknowledge there is a problem?

What plan of Democrats are you referring to?

What legislation?

What policy?

What leaders are promoting it?

Respectfully, were you living under a rock during the Biden administration's open borders where at least 10 million illegals, from all parts of the world, flooded into our country?

It all starts with mass migration from mostly third world countries. The legislation will be amnesty. The policy will be sell the country out for votes and have one party rule. Leaders promoting it? From Obama to Governors and Mayors to legislators and judges in sanctuary Sates and cities to the media. We see it everyday where democrats and leftists refuse to work with immigration control.

It amazes me someone as smart and educated as you absolutely refuses to acknowledge what you can literally see happening across Western Europe in real time. How bad does it have to get before we wake up?

Let me ask you, do think socialism/Islam/wokeness has more traction with the democrats or the republicans?

Not living under a rock personally, but when I go outside in the Triangle every day, I don't see 10 million illegal immigrants flooding our country from "the third world".

I do see a substantial increase in cost of living. That's just my eyes though.

Because you don't see it from your nice neighborhood means it's not happening?

We can literally see the effect of socialism mass immigration, Islam, wokeness across Western Europe. Yet we stick our fingers in our ears and say lalalalalala….

Did your eyes see the substantial increase in cost of living during the Biden administration? Thats where all of this started.

I'll wager, outside of higher gas prices which will come down, your life is no different today than it was three years ago? Am I wrong? Please explain because all ears.

Great points as well. To be honest I think most people agree on several key policies.

BTW I've lived a decade in England and am very familiar with that area and Brexit. Not so much main land Europe though. Different borders they share with countries face different pressures. EU immigration policy caused massive issues in Europe. I know and I agree. Like you said, we have 2 oceans between us, therefore face different problems.. such as the southern border.

Regarding GDP, it's not "real GDP", which accounts for inflation underneath it. Real GDP was 3.42% in 2023, 2.64% in 2024, 2.05% in 2025. Let's see when 2026 finishes. It should be a transformative era of expansion, especially with AI and new technologies as you said.. plus the recovery from COVID should boost the economy inherently, but we're mostly treading water and making things worse for ourselves with the pressures (war) we have already talked about. The stock market just had the worst month since early 2025. We should ask ourselves "why".

Hell yeah tax all the billionaires regardless of party. I think we need reform and these parties don't represent us. Hopefully out of the ashes comes one that does, takes good policies from both sides, into a real "America First" agenda. America First doesn't mean Everyone Last or Billionaires First to me, in any interpretation.

Nice to talk "policy we want," rather than flaming each other! It's the right discussion to have. We all care deeply about our country at the end of the day.

This is what happens when you've had your brain boiled by relentless propaganda.

Which do you think is more likely? That global immigration issues are being caused by a socialist wokeness conspiracy, or by a capitalist "conspiracy" in every advanced country to overcome declining birth rates and maintain economic growth?

It's such a great scam Republicans (and global right wing parties) have going... fight tooth and nail behind the scenes to prevent any real limits on immigration (ensuring we maintain growth and that everyone has access to cheap labor), but then use the social stress that causes as their main election issue.

Like with everything in the Trump Show, even this made for TV thuggish ICE bulls**it is mostly performative... Trump's daily deportation numbers even now are barely above Obama's. And Biden got stuck in a perfect storm of immigration thanks to the pandemic... and he gets credit for a massive "make up for lost labor" spike that you have to pretend didn't actually start during Trump's last year in office.

And of course, please keep insisting that outside of gas prices everything is great. Nothing people love more than being told to not believe their lying eyes. You clearly don't live in this country.

It's night and day and it's because two of those countries are overrun with third worlders and one is not.

"Consumers spending is way down".

The 3rd quarter GDP report is at 3.4% largely fuel by consumer spending.

PS something needed to done with Iran. President Trump could have waited until after mid terms. There must be a reason he did not.

Something needed to be done about Iran, based on what intelligence?

What are we doing about Iran right now to further that goal, and at what ongoing cost to America?

What benchmark do we need to hit to get out of Iran?

More intelligence information you, me, CNN or anyone else we know will have access to.

Every President for the last 40 years has said Iran was a problem. Are you going to deny they are?

We are strangling the life out of their economy and they are on the verge of collapse.

Never a good idea to read too much into early voting numbers.

Some fine points you make and well articulated.

As someone who spends a lot of time throughout Europe both working and living, I'll politely disagree with you. All of Europes problems start and end with mass migration from third world countries. We have lots of problems with foreign nations. Starting a war with every one of them isn't the solution.

Every President the last 40 years acknowledged Middle East challenges and yet they all, especially recently, also acknowledged diplomacy was the way to handle it.

So there are two options, either the information changed recently, or Bibi saw an opportunity to manipulate a weak, insecure, narcissistic president into thinking attacking Iran was necessary or prudent.

Based on the lack of any coherent communication regarding the rationale for the war, or any clear indication of what the goal is, combined with the level of thoughtlessness and incompetence on display during Trump's first term, but triply so in his second, all of the smart money is on the latter scenario unfortunately for America and the rest of the world.

Why would you assume that Trump's approach to this war behind the scenes was calculated and thoughtful, when he and Hegseth and this administration put their impulsivity and thoughtlessness and lack of seriousness on display on a daily basis about everything else?

Why would their war effort be any different?
