I really try to keep an open mind, but it has become apparent the doctrine as well as the tactics of the Dems is a movement that if successful will dramatically change the fabric and future of this country that will all but have wiped out what the Founding Fathers tried to establish. I'll be the first to admit that Pubs have flaws that should be noted, but the leadership of the Dems obviously has a socialist state on their radar and many Americans are blind to it. I'll ask you the same question. Why did it take 3.5 years, 10 million illegals and an up coming election to get a bill? Couldn't Mr. Biden simply sign an executive order to close the border?

Why were Congressional Republicans ready to approve it?

Why did the Minority Leader and other Republicans express dismay that Trump torpedoed it?

Obviously it would have improved the situation, that's precisely why Trump wanted to kill it. If it was a feckless waste of a bill Trump would have been better off letting it run its course so he could then run on how bad the bill was and how the Dems were completely unable to fix the problem.
