Are you completely ignoring Trump's obvious penchant for flouting the Constitution and other laws; his history of trying to overturn a free and fair election he lost which required our Vice President's obligation to the Constitution and not the President being perhaps the only thing that kept us from a massive constitutional crisis; and also the extrajudicial killings of alleged drug runners that our military members are being asked to carry out?
He literally has a history of giving illegal orders.
Forget Trump.
Military members are being put in positions of feeling compelled to seek outside counsel to consult regarding whether their actions in the extrajudicial killings of alleged drug runners leave them open to prospective criminal liability if those actions are later determined to be illegal.
This advice to disobey illegal orders is in support of them as much as anything.
Essentially, this isn't anything more than saying "Remember Mike Pence's courage to abide by the Constitution even when the President asks you to behave otherwise. Do that if the time comes."
I can't believe anyone questions why this would need to be said given Trump and Pence's respective actions on January 6, much less says they 'hate' someone for saying it.
Much less tries to both-sides the issue when one side says "you're in the right if you disobey illegal orders" which is simply a statement of (important) fact and our unhinged President literally responds "SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!"..."It's called SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL.
