How long do you want to ignore this user?

About damned time. I've gotta go down there this summer for a new ID card and I'm sure I'll get a rash of $h/+ when I insist on calling it that. I already got a sour look from some officious little REMF last time I was down there, for calling it Fort Fliberty-Jiberty. Of course, I don't know WTH is Roland Bragg. It used to be named after Braxton Bragg.

"Hegseth is renaming it Fort Bragg, but it will be named not after Confederate General Braxton Bragg but rather after WWII Battle of the Bulge hero & Silver Star recipient Private First Class Roland Bragg."

Very RINO of Hegseth not to return the naming rights back to the Confederacy

"The cost to rename Fort Bragg one of the largest military installations in the world by population will total about $6.37 million, according to a commission report. "

Got to think we're talking another $8-10M to rename rename Fort Bragg. Great job government

Cute. That said, Bragg wasn't exactly an ace commander among the likes of Lee, Jackson, and even Joe Johnston for that matter, so it's also not exactly like his memory is being excessively diminished.

i think the difference between me and Civ (not going to speak for him) and folks who are hanging on Musks every tweet is that although I think Musk is an awesome entrepreneur and a very smart person, and no doubt his people are very smart people, but I find it hard to believe that after 20 days, these guys have accessed all of the very large data bases and uncovered all this fraud.

It's just a fever dream to expect that it's just a matter of dropping the curtain and seeing the Wizard of Oz. Uncovering of real fraud just doesn't happen like that.

I'd add that there are almost limitless inefficiencies that can be identified and eliminated or improved via a diligent and analytical identification process.

It's just patently obvious that so much of what we've seen is some combination of grandstanding, settling political scores, tone-setting, and power grabbing rather than actual diligence.

You simply can't jump into unfamiliar operations and undertake any sort of serious analysis of highly complex activities involving tens of thousands of staff in a matter of a few days.

I'll reply briefly.
- Trump hasn't not gotten into the big money fraud and corruption yet, what he's gotten into is some of the govt sponsored media narrative and transgender LGBT
- What I thought good was that #Gobbler had observed how quickly the books had been opened for the USAID/CIA operation against the American people. :-)
- The disclosures of crimes against humanity, sedition and treason has not really started.........yet

EDIT: I'll add that Biden's presidency will be removed and all actions by the Federal Govt during this time as well. This will certainly go back into the Obama presidency and even the GW Bush presidency for different reasons. It is my understanding that there is even a possibility it goes back into the Clinton timeframe. I say this because 'Juan' says this as he sings "2020, it's not over yet".

You can if your goal is to dismantle the administrative state! I could do it faster…

You don't like it, blame Joe Biden. It should never have been changed in the first place.

It's typical of the liberal way… change something that has no valuable reason for changing. Once a change back is initiated, then it becomes the right has to spend money, push the change for change sake, type of talk.

Hokie, I don't know if you're pointing out a fact (cost of change) or trying to be on the liberal talking point…. If you can remember, did you post the same thing when they changed the names previously?

I agree with this take. DOGE so far has won the publicity battle, but theyve basically just cancelled HR contracts. Its a good start, but doesnt really do anything for the long term. My main concern with them from the beginning would be the ability to have a lasting impact, not just a PR stunt. Its become clear with the USAID stuff that this is going to be a marathon, not a sprint. So Ill continue to just watch and see which direction it goes.
