We got a half inch last night. At work now so not sure what we got mid morning but it rained like a cow pissing on a flat rock.
To tell you how dry it's been. We got 2.25 inches of rain in 24 hours. Typically that means the ditches at the house have 4-6 inches if water in them. They have about a half inch in them as of an hour ago. We certainly got some rain but it has been so dry the ground just keeps soaking it up. Not complaining cause lord knows we needed it!!!!
After near-record dryness last 3 months, first 10 days of June have certainly been wet. Most of the area has received 2-4", with coastal NC receiving more. While drought remains a concern in some parts, localized flooding is also possible over the next 48 hours. #ncwx #scwx pic.twitter.com/2YapMmeyZZ

After a couple issues were identified this morning, here are the correct month to date rainfall totals for Lumberton and North Myrtle Beach: LBT - 3.77" and CRE - 1.99". In fact, ILM, FLO, and LBT are all within one inch of June rainfall surpassing all of Spring (Mar-May).

Tail of 2 seasons! In roughly 90 days, Raleigh received 5.02 inches of rainfall. However, in just 10 days (only 4 measured rainfall) Raleigh has seen almost 5 inches already!! With more showers and storms expected today, will we break springs total rainfall in just 11 days? #NCwx https://t.co/4ORcqKRuEw

It certainly puts into perspective how dry Spring 2021 was, and how wet the start of June as has been, the ILM's June rainfall has well surpassed all of Spring's rain. Florence and Lumberton are within an inch of June surpassing their Spring totals. https://t.co/iU5SSlC6lH
