At my wife's school they gave the teachers masks with clear plastic over the mouths so kids can supposedly see their mouths when speaking. The plastic fogs up and they were given a chemical to clean it several times a day.

None of the teachers use them. Even the ones very afraid of covid. Heck the very afraid aren't even keeping the K95 masks on all day because they can't breathe. My wife's assistant is terrified of Covid but can't wear the K95 mask all day because it affects her asthma. As does the chemical to clean the clear plastic.

It's just ****ing lunacy how the left keeps clinging to this ineffective cult like nonsense.

Not even 3 minutes long, legendary Nobel Prize Winner warns. Stop taking the damn boosters and this can be stopped. Geert Vanden Bossche strongly states that our unvaccinated youth will provide the "herd immunity". our lives have dramatically changed, get used to it. If you took the vaccine swallow your pride and accept that you made a mistake Most took it out of either fear or for their genuine interest in the public good. Just stop accepting the lies as truth. Its not too late to say F no, I won't comply.

This is very alarming. Multiple states (New York, Washington, and now Illinois) have introduced bills, which authorize the state Public Health Department to forcibly quarantine people (in camps like in Australia?) who are deemed "a danger to public health" or who are just "suspected" of having come in contact with those infected...or in the case of the language in this new Illinois bill, forced quarantine of those who "refuse to undergo observation and monitoring".

And these bills don't just "coincidentally" pop up in all these states. It's a coordinated agenda coming from somewhere higher up, and they float these proposed bills with boilerplate language and have it introduced in multiple states at the same time.

https://www.illinoisreview.com/illinoisreview/2022/01/democrat-rep-calls-for-quarantine-to-observe-those-refusing-vaccines.html

Quote:

Democrat rep calls for quarantine to observe those refusing vaccines

VILLA PARK - Villa Park State Rep. Deb Conroy (Democrat) wants to "isolate or quarantine persons who are unable or unwilling to receive vaccines, medications, or other treatments."

HB 4640 is scheduled to be heard in the Illinois House Human Services Committee February 2 at 9:00 AM.

If HB 4640 were to become law, persons exposed to an infectious disease could be placed under Public Health Department observation, only possible in a contained atmosphere with Department watch guards, some suggest such as a concentration camp.

The bill says:
Quote:

To prevent the spread of a dangerously contagious or infectious disease, the [Public Health] Department may, pursuant to the provisions of subsection (c) of this Section, isolate or quarantine persons whose refusal to undergo observation and monitoring results in uncertainty regarding whether he or she has been exposed to or is infected with a dangerously contagious or infectious disease or otherwise poses a danger to the public's health.

^ Exactly, this is not over. Here in MS our State House Speaker, Phil Gunn, just torpedoed a bill to protect us from JAB reqmts and then he, Gunn - a Republican - introduced a bill to allow the JAB reqmt to be implemented. Trying to track down its status on the Senate side right now with a couple of State Senators I know. Many of our politician dangle on the puppet strings waiting to be pulled. Phil Gunn apparently has been one.

For those of you thinking the Biden administration and health policy leaders are about to pivot on the current Covid restrictions, you may be in for some disappointment. You can read the entire article below, but I found this portion of the article to be very telling about what the administration has planned. Now you know why they keep providing all those free masks.

As I said in my earlier post, the ballot box it your best hope for a return to normal.

Quote:

"Yet even as it maps out the next stage, the White House has ruled out making a splashy show or major announcement regarding a hard pivot back to normalcy. There is fear among aides over repeating last year's July Fourth "freedom from the virus" celebration an event that turned politically disastrous weeks later when the Delta variant fueled a swift resurgence of the pandemic. And though it faces pressure to back off some of its more notable and onerous public health policies, the administration is also unlikely to drop its indoor masking recommendations, which are seen as among the key tools for preventing new outbreaks."

"Officials instead described plans for a more subtle shift over the next several weeks toward touting Biden's achievements in rolling out vaccines and treatments and emphasizing the everyday things that people can do again if they're vaccinated an approach that multiple individuals familiar with the response described as an attempt to convince people they'll soon be able to relax after two years ruled by Covid-19."

It has become such a vital part of their identity they can't let it go.

I said it from the beginning of all of this mess... its unfortunate because likely there will be a time when lockdowns and NPIs are essential, but all good faith in our government to make effective scientific based decisions has been lost.

All because of politics.

^ Much much bigger than politics. This is the beginnings of a plan by the WEF/NWO/UN to take over the globe.

Election fraud, censorship and gaslighting, biological attacks, open borders with money and pre-loaded credit cards including large #'s of miltary-age men, hyperinflation and destruction of our buying power, dependence upon overseas energy, etc. All tied together.

When the breakdown of society occurs - under whatever the final series of events is - the idea is that Americans and citizens of the world will stand in the streets cheering as those white troop carriers and weaponry roll through the streets.

Things haven't even gotten intense yet. Give it another 2 or 3 months.....

Of course it is... that's how they came to power. We have a big election this year and an even bigger one in 2024. Look for the same tactics to be used as were in 2020 all in the name of covid.

They are stuck in a bubble. Surrounded by COVID ideologues of a certain ilk.

Even as some of those most hardcore are cracking at the seams.

(Wen on masks. Faust on the insanity of vaccinating under 5s with something that hasn't passed trials, etc.)

Remember how hard they have worked at quieting dissent.

Who do you think is left in the room?

Some of them may be true believers... the rest have just been in the echo chamber so long they are unable to find any nuance anymore.

Do we think anyone from Urgency of Normal is getting into the inner circle? Any of the GBD people? These are non-partisan doctors who have strived for more nuance but are viewed with massive disdain by the zealots.

Add this to the fact they are appealing to their base and not the mainstream. Their base does not want to relax restrictions. Some have to keep the panic going, so they can maintain their political leverage. The recent poll saying 70% of Americans are ready to move on basically shows the administration is not listening to the broader messages. They are listening to their base and the echo-chamber you mentioned, prevents them from seeing their error. They think they are the smartest people in the room and we are just a bunch of sheep, waiting to be lead.

The fact the CDC has not updated their arbitrary guidelines on community spread and its use of cases as the key measure for determining the scope of Covid policies, shows you how they are out-of-touch. Given the current guidelines and their desire to keep indoor masking guidelines in place, they are arguing for "permanent" masking. The only hope is to get new voices in the room and I do not see this happening, without a change in leadership. They argue we need masks to prevent future variants. Here's a little tip - there will always be a future variant. So their argument for masking is an argument for "permanent" masking.

And by "politics", it is about using every excuse for more government power grabs. It's not some "virtue signal" so they can "win elections". The elections are already rigged, and both parties push the same agenda. The RINO Republican Establishment are closet globalists/Marxists.

This is about a socialist/communist takeover, and having an ever more powerful government able to control and subject the population. These draconian measures were never about protecting the public, or concern for our health. That's absurd on its face. Are we really supposed to believe that these communist Democrat politicians, who support mass abortion and worldwide human population reduction, are "humanitarians who want to save every human life"? Preposterous.

And then these Marxist Democrat politicians who push lockdowns and mask mandates are seen out partying and going to sporting events without a mask around dozens of people. It's a total fraud. It's not about your health.

And it's a worldwide socialist/communist agenda. As mentioned many times before, this is about the elite's "Great Reset" and "Build Back Better" communist takeover as expressed by the World Economic Forum and United Nations Agenda 2030 -- which openly call for worldwide human population reduction, and controlling and subjecting human populations.

Who ever thought we'd have a government that just openly advocates for censorship? Are we living Orwell's 1984? I think the Feds actually now have a department akin to the "Ministry of Truth" also.

This is the First Amendment. The very first one in the Bill of Rights. And of course they are also open enemies of the Second Amendment. Just goes to show how far this country has fallen into tyranny, and things have been turned upside down in our society. Everything is inverted. Good is called "evil", and evil is called "good".

Agree. Denmark's step several days ago was big. Other European countries will soon follow.

If you're a policymaker or advisor in the US you're going to look like an even bigger idiot in 90 or 120 days if you keep up the restriction shenanigans when most first-world nations have stopped.

People respond to incentives and generally don't like looking like fools. The echo chamber/bubble will insulate them from that for a bit longer but not after a lot of other countries have rolled back everything without deleterious effects.

Mentioned it in a post earlier this morning. In fairness, I do not expect everyone to go back a page to see what others are posting. Right now the list of countries going to no restrictions is:

Denmark
Sweden
Norway
UK
Israel
Switzerland
Ireland

I think Spain and Italy could be coming soon. As I mentioned this morning, the US will be on the outside, looking in soon. Western nations are dropping restrictions. Western nations do not mask their students (most never have for entire pandemic).

The US will be an outlier, along with Canada, Austraila, and New Zealand. Add to this, China, a country still trying to implement zero-Covid. Effectively, the US is also trying to enact zero-Covid with the arbitrary CDC community spread guidelines that are focused on cases - at a time where we have vaccines that do not prevent cases.

I briefly watch the local news today and they mentioned one of their "experts" that claimed we could not begin relaxing restrictions in NC until ICU numbers fall. Why ICU numbers in stead of overall hospitalizations? I suspect it is because he knows those will be the last to fall, since those cases generally take the longest to resolve. Of course, they failed to mention that the percentage of patients in ICU is the lowest it has been for the ENTIRE pandemic.

And to that end, even with all the WITH COVID running around (and certainly possible nosocomial infections aren't that far fetched).... the active COVID ICU census numbers with this wave never exceeded the peaks of the late summer 2021 or winter 20-21 waves.

Everything and anything are just excuses.

Potentially, outside of specific healthcare settings, every and all restriction should be removed immediately.

We are in a really strange place. States all over the place. The Federal Government aspiring to be like Canada/Australia but being held in check by 'rebel' states. Kind of similar to how a 'purple' NC is kind of in this tweener state. If Cooper and NC DHHS had their way, we would absolutely look like Canada. (as that is what the party would prefer)

It took lawsuits to get Cooper to back off a lot of his initial closures. And in his mind, they were still successful.

There has been no mea culpa like you saw out of DeSantis acknowledging that he was wrong for his initial closures.

Now the trade off for not being able to implement the broad restrictions and mandates (which at least the vaccine ones have been attempted) is that they are going to hold the children hostage and following useless theater and masking in as many places as they possibly can.

They are completely unable to pivot. Once they have chosen their propaganda mottos... they will follow them to the end.

The US is "effectively" following a zero-Covid approach. The guidelines the CDC set over a year and a half ago have not been revised and in the light of Omicron are unattainable. They "effectively" drive the US to a zero-Covid approach, where restrictions can not be relaxed. To hit those numbers, the US would have to implement even stricter guidelines than they have now - meaning we will never move away from masking.

Why is the government spending millions to buy and distribute masks, if they have intention to remove masking restrictions? The reason is that they do not intend to relax masking restrictions. The CDC guidelines are important, since school leaders are using those guidelines as justification for masking requirements.

Thanks for these charts. They very clearly make my point. We got close to the yellow guidelines prior to Delta and Omicron. Since Omicron, it remains to be seen if we can get to the same low levels we reached with the wild version of the virus. Since Delta and Omicron, we have not been close to those levels and to get there requires a zero-Covid approach. If we continue worrying about cases, we will not deal with the long-Covid zealots and we will not get to a level to lift masking guidelines.

If people think the pro-maskers are going to quietly go away if the government removes masking for kids, you are sadly mistaken. Case in point are teachers in Philadelphia. They are currently protesting a reduction in the quarantine time for kids. Just imagine their reaction if school mask mandates are lifted.

American truckers set up a Facebook page to organize a "Convoy to D.C. 2022", similar to the Canadian Trucker Convoy, to protest vaccine mandates.

To be expected, the communists at Facebook have deleted the page.

US truckers slam Facebook for removing page organizing DC freedom convoy: 'Censorship at its finest'

American truckers are following Canada's lead and organizing a protest against vaccine mandates. The U.S. group's Facebook page, however, was removed early Wednesday in a move that the organizer called "censorship at its finest."

The group, titled "Convoy to D.C. 2022," acted as a place for truckers to plan and coordinate their trek from California to Washington, D.C.

Jeremy Johnson, who set up the Facebook group, said his personal account was also removed, prompting him to contact a civil rights attorney to discuss the next steps.

"They like to silence people that speak the truth," Johnson said of his Facebook ban.

A spokesperson for Facebook's parent company, Meta, provided this statement to Fox News: "We have removed this group for repeatedly violating our policies around QAnon." In October 2020, Facebook labeled QAnon a "violence-inducing conspiracy network" and announced group pages and admins tied to QAnon will be removed.

Of course...label it as "QAnon", the go-to smear, which justifies any form of censorship you want to engage in. Or they could have said that the members also like Alex Jones, another person Facebook banned years ago. Or they could just call them "white supremacists". See, you can come up with any reason you want to censor anybody.

Davie,

as we both know this has nothing whatsoever to do with health concerns... this is only about politics and trying to set themselves (not the rank and file teachers - just the union leaders themselves) up for more money from the Democrats for the next two major cycles of elections.

It is pure political graft at it's very finest... democracy style nonetheless... what say you there, Civ?

Their base won't get them elected if they're hanging on to COVID restrictions when the majority of the public is ready to move on.

I think Europe will drag them out of COVID hysteria as they continue to open up with few restrictions remaining.

Yep, first-world nations are starting to realize, it's time to stop the madness. At the same time, the US (currently, a second-world nation) is keeping up the madness.
