If you subscribe to the lab leak theory, then are people thinking it is safer to potentially get infected with a virus they think was created in a lab in Wuhan vs. getting vaccines to protect against it?
Maybe "covid-19" is a psyop fabricated via fake testing and fake "data" (when it was in reality just the seasonal flu re-named), and the "vaccine" is the real bioweapon and will cause harm to your body - eg, weakening your immune system, infecting you with toxins, etc.

When lefties wear masks and are vaccinated they're accused of theater and ignoring science.

When they don't wear masks they're accused of hypocrisy.

They can't win either way.

Should they wear masks, or not?

Yeah, it's not really hard to take precautions for onesself without insisting other people be forced to engage in your personally preferred risk management strategy. That's the disconnect.

They're not hyocritical for not wearing masks, they're hypocritical for telling other people to wear them, advocating for mandates, and then disregarding them when it is convenient.

Should they wear masks or not? The answer is, and has always been that it should be a personal choice.

Lol. Seriously?? They shouldn't mandate others wear masks when they themselves don't. It's not difficult to understand. Therein lies the hypocrisy.

You missed a key point. Commies shouldn't be passing laws or mandates that force others to wear masks, while in private they don't follow their own rules and are out partying not wearing masks. The hypocrisy is the key.

Bottom line...NONE of us should be wearing masks. Because this is all a scam -- as proven by Leftist elites and top politicians caught in private not wearing masks. As puppets of the ruling elite, these top politician puppets know that "covid" is a fraud, and that it is not a threat.

Another thing...I bet those same elites and top politicians are not taking these "vaccines" either. The poison injections are only for the peon masses.

This is something very important and interesting that I just became aware of not long ago, that sheds important light on this "covid" scam. We have probably not been told the truth about the real cause of the "Spanish Flu" of 1918-1920. Researchers at the time and in the few decades following that event actually documented that the disease was being caused by a whole host of vaccines that were pushed on militaries (before and during WW1), and then on the general populations of many nations. The disease originated in army barracks/camps, and not long after the soldiers were mandated to take several "vaccines". People at the time noted that it was almost exclusively vaccinated people who were getting sick and dying.

One of the best sources documenting these facts is the 1976 book by Eleanor McBean, "Swine Flu Expose". The elite tried this scam again in 1976 with the alleged "swine flu" and a big vaccine campaign for it, but people wised up to the fact that the vaccines caused a lot of harm and the whole thing fizzled out. As part of that book, she exposed the truth about what really happened with the Spanish Flu of 1918-1920.

Here is an excerpt of the book covering the truth about the Spanish Flu: http://stateofthenation.co/?p=5555

Also, another interesting fact is that diseases such as measles, typhoid, and tuberculosis were NOT "eradicated by vaccines". The reality is that these diseases were on the severe decline and almost eradicated long before vaccinations for those diseases were introduced. See the graphs in this article: https://salmartingano.com/2020/05/the-1918-spanish-flu-only-the-vaccinated-died/

Civ, for a reasonably smart person you appear to be, you continue to make these false conclusion. If you really look at your two points, they can both be real.

Mask, by some, are considered to be false science. Mandating them and doing something different is indeed hypocrisy!

Wrong question!

The right question is: how will this virus become normalized and be no more pathogenic as the common flu? We have plenty of credentialed physicians with different opinions on the subject.

What this ones comes down to is whether a person trust the death data, of the vaccine. Right now, many are still uncertain about the data and are in a wait and see position.

I think VAERS has about 4K deaths from the vaccine. In any other situation, I believe these vaccines would have been pulled from distribution. So, yes, we have many vaccinated; however, we don't have long term data on the use of them, thus creating vaccine hesitancy!!!

It really is that simple!

They are already lining up with reports on how "deadly" the Lambda Variant and how it is wayyyyyy more contagious than the Delta....

You lefties are running a very dangerous game plan. You keep pissing people up, showing up in public without your beloved mask and sooner or later even the most loyal of your flock of sheep are going to wake up and quit listening to the BS that is spouted off on an hourly basis.

If you feel like you need to wear a mask by all means do so. Just like I have said numerous times if you or a family member has a compromised immune system then by all means wear whatever you feel like. But don't come on here and brow beat me and others if we choose not to.

Again you lefties have the market cornered on hypocrisy. It's about to be all you have.

Stopped at one of my local regular spots for lunch. Didn't notice until after we walked in they had a mask sign up. Not prominently displayed like before. So we didn't have them on from the door to our seat 20 feet away. Think it's hilarious we're back to pretending masks reduce virus spread by wearing them from the door to your seat in a restaurant, then immediately taking them off. So ridiculous.

Didn't you know?...the Rona virus can only be transmitted or infect you when you are walking around. Once you are sitting down in a restaurant, a magic force field protects you and you can't catch or spread it.

Another mysterious phenomenon is that the Wu Flu is highly contagious wherever peon regular people are congregated indoors, requiring face diapers to be worn. However, the Rona disappears wherever elites and high level politicians gather to party and eat dinner, not requiring a mask.

This entire thing is ZERO to do with a real threat from a virus. It's all a pre-planned scheme used as the excuse to bring in a tyrannical agenda - ie, vaccine passports which will be the first step towards a Chinese-style "social credit score" system (a "Mark of the Beast" type system). It's a communist takeover of society.

They are just going through the "steps" right now to make it seem as if the "threat" from the virus is "accelerating", and therefore more draconian measures are "needed". So they have for the past several weeks been fabricating/manufacturing the "rise in cases", and now come the mask mandates again. Next, they will move into the phase where there are widespread vaccine mandates (from employers), and vaccine passports. It's a pre-planned script. And they are already doing this in other nations. Just look at what they are doing in Australia, France, and elsewhere...and they are going to try to do that here in another few weeks/months.

The Democrats taking marching orders from higher ups in the chain of command. It'll play out similar to how it did in April of last year. First it's Durham and Chapel Hill with the mask mandates. Then many other Dem-run cities like Raleigh, Charlotte follow suit a few days or week or so later. Then a week or so later, pig-faced Czar Cooper will issue a state-wide mask mandate again.

Looks like they are going to try to make the "cases" look bad over the next few months, and then after the FDA approval of the vaccines, a ton of businesses are going to make the injections mandatory for their employees -- say in September through November. Then there will be vaccine passports implemented by many businesses and cities/governors following that (for customers of businesses). I obviously have no inside info. That just seems to be the plan - from seeing the propaganda in the "news" media, what King Fauci and other big whigs are telling us the plan is, how everything went down over the last 1.5 years, and how they have rolled this out in other countries.

This is a must watch. This very articulate doctor in Indiana DESTROYS the official narrative on covid, and what the CDC and NIH are doing -- including covering how you can never eradicate a coronavirus, just as you can never eradicate the common cold or the seasonal flu, and that the vaccines are actually making things worse because no vaccines previously attempted for other coronaviruses has worked, and they cause a person to not be able to fight the virus as well as if they were not vaccinated.

Going to be fun when they have positive tests among vaccinated players and guys are kept from going about their lives and forced to engage in health theatre anyway.

Remember when these restrictions were all just until the vaccine was available for everyone??

If the vaccine was "available to everyone" and no one took the vaccine, we'd be in no better a place than we were before the vaccine.

Obviously it's more complicated than simple availability, % vaxxed matters a little too.

Unless they are symptomatic, vaccinated players are not tested. Still waiting on the ACC protocols, but current protocols do not include testing of vaccinated players.

Now, this does not preclude a situation like we saw with State baseball, where positive tests for unvaccinated players lead to the testing of vaccinated (not symptomatic by the way) players. As I keep telling everyone, the more people who get vaccinated, the more vaccinated people that will test positive. This is how the vaccines work and anyone who thought they would prevent positive tests, did not understand how they work.

It does matter, when you pretend people who have already have had COVID don't have natural immunity and don't count, which we are currently doing doing.

Remember when it was JUST about making sure hospitals were overrun? Remember when it was then JUST about preventing deaths? Remember when it then didn't matter because protesting was more important? Okay, those are done, good job everyone, now its very important to JUST continue restrictions until we have a vaccine. Okay we have multiple free vaccines and move the goalposts to having to force enough people to comply.

That's how authoritarianism happens, we gave these people two weeks and they are taking two years (so far, student loan moratorium extended to next January already).

COVID is endemic, the vaccines are available, it has long been since time to move on with our lives. Safetyism is an absurd and unscientific ideal and at this point you need to just admit that you want to force your personal choices on others, because that is what this really about.

Correct. If a player exhibits those things, they will be tested and if tested they have to quarantine. The others on the team who came in contact do not get tested and they do not quarantine. Those are the current rules, but they could change in another week when the ACC comes out with their guidelines.

Additionally, this is why my son's school is requiring all media that come in contact with players, coaches, and staff to be fully vaccinated and they are also required to wear a mask. Unlike State and other schools, they allow media to come to every practice during Fall Camp, until the week before the first game.

They are trying to keep any players from becoming symptomatic and being tested. I will not be surprised if this becomes an ACC policy, but we will see. They are trying to avoid what happened to State baseball and if they start to test vaccinated, asymptomatic players, there is a chance vaccinated players will test positive and if it hits enough of a position group, a game will have to be forfeited.

I agree. The media are misreporting (I am being kind with my wording) what is happening with kids and hospitalizations for Covid in NC. I can not speak for other states, but for NC, there is not an abnormally higher number of kids hospitalized due to the Delta variant than we saw with the other variants during the Winter Wave. In fact, it is LOWER, but you would not know this from watching the news.

My view is they are taking their lead from those doctors who are closely aligned with the teacher's unions and want to keep schools virtual. It is being lead by the zero-Covid doctors and health policy wonks who believe one case of a child getting sick due to being in school is horrible and must be prevented at all costs.

We could be the only Western nation this Fall that continues to keep schools closed and the only one requiring kids under 12 to be masked while in school.

Moderna may be more effective than Pfizer against Delta

Quote:

Researchers found the effectiveness of Pfizer's two-dose vaccine dropped from 76% in early 2021 to 46% in July, as the delta variant became dominant in the United States. During that same time period, Moderna's two-dose shot dropped from 86% to 76%.

The observational study, published Aug. 8 and yet to be peer-reviewed, included more than 50,000 patients in the Mayo Clinic Health System, which runs hospitals and clinics in Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin.
This may be more fear porn or bad science but it is interesting nonetheless.

The common flu isn't so common in the sense that it is much faster in mutations than any coronavirus due to its segmented genome which allows for much more dramatic gene shuffling in shorter periods of time than the ordinary spot mutations of corona- and other viruses. That is one reason why flu vaccines are generally "iffy" in their effectiveness, and why the flu strain that hits upon just the right combination of genes can be quite deadly.
