Yep. They have no idea what a strike is with this umpire, so have to take chances. I have yet to figure out his strike zone, since it keeps changing.wilmwolf said:

That pitch is so hard to lay off of.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Wish he'd have looked the other way on that outside pitch if he knew he had to swing at it. You're rolling that over to SS/3rd almost every time if you try to yank a ball outside.wilmwolf said:

It's mostly a specific type of lefty we've struggled with. Guys like this with big sweepers give us trouble. I feel like we hit power lefties pretty well.

If youre not starting a MLB draft pick in the CWS I'd much rather have a guy like Whit who pumps it in and makes the other team beat you than a guy whose game is fooling the other team into not knowing where the ball is going because he doesnt either
