NC State will head back on the road Thursday when it travels to Chapel Hill to take on North Carolina. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. and will be broadcasted on ACC Network Extra.

UNC in a dog fight vs Gardner Webb right now, trailing 3-2 in the 6th. Only reason I mention this is they might have to use one or two of their top bullpen arms which could be beneficial to use consider our series starts Thursday. They can't lose this game.

I can tell from watching a few mins UNC has a very mouthy dugout that is going to bother me this weekend. I'm going in person Friday night.

G-W completely gave that game away in the 8th -- lost a fly ball in the lights, catcher drops an easy force out at home, pitcher balks in the winning run after otherwise striking out 3 in a row.

The NC State baseball team makes the short drive to Chapel Hill this weekend for an ACC road rivalry series at North Carolina. This weekend's series at Boshamer Stadium will run Thursday through Saturday with first pitch times scheduled for 7 p.m., 7 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.

Friday night's game will be televised on ACC Network. Thursday and Saturday's games will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra.

A free audio stream will be available on the Varsity Network App for all three games with Andrew Sanders on the call. All three games will also be available on WKNC 88.1.

NC State (31-15, 10-13 ACC) holds a 139-172-1 all-time record against North Carolina (30-17, 11-11 ACC).

SCOUTING NORTH CAROLINA
North Carolina (30-17, 11-11 ACC) makes its return to ACC play after three straight games against nonconference opponents, all of which were decided by a single run. The Tar Heels recorded a 2-1 win at East Carolina on May 3 before recording a 5-4 win over Gardner-Webb on Tuesday. UNC dropped May 2's matchup to Campbell 6-5. North Carolina ranks third in the ACC in walks and hit-by-pitches to rank fifth in the league in team on-base percentage. Offensively, Mac Horvath leads North Carolina with 20 home runs, 58 RBI, 142 total bases, a .747 slugging percentage and 21 stolen bases. On the mound, UNC ranks seventh in the ACC in ERA (4.49) and ninth in the league with a 1.44 WHIP. Connor Bovair, Max Carlson and Jake Knapp have each made 10 or more starts this season with Bovair leading the Tar Heels with four pitching victories.

Awful quiet around here for a UNCheat series kick-off day. Either of us can play spoiler to the other for NCAAs in my opinion.

Parking is available for fans in the Ram's Deck and Craige Deck with ADA parking available in Ram's Deck. The School of Government, Stadium Drive, South Road and Raleigh Road visitors lots will be closed.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early with the expectation of increased traffic due to commencement ceremonies across campus.

The Boshamer Stadium gates will open one hour prior to game time Thursday and Friday and 90 minutes ahead of Saturday's first pitch. UNC will recognize its 2023 graduates before the series finale.

Personally, I respect creative suspensions that factor in the fact that important games are being played right now and you arent just gonna make them all sit 1 game against your rival.
