So, I hope the truth comes out eventually. Have we heard who is available tomorrow?

It is my understanding, admittedly based on second hand information, that everyone that was at the ballpark original today (ie everyone but Jarrett and Justice) had tested negative yesterday. When and why they were required to be tested again today, I defer to experts on NCAA policy, but the results of those tests were not available by the time the NCAA wanted to start the game. Ultimately, focusing on they minutiae of how and why we were at this point does nothing. Arguing about this or that needs to stop. Whomever is wearing an NC State jersey tomorrow deserves our untethered support.
Players who were tested negative all week were made to leave the field and tested negative again and still were not allowed to return to the field. Negative players sat in the hotel and watched instead of helping their team

So one poster said the NCAA only had 2 machines to do testing with, which wasn't enough and we had players waiting for results. Did Corbin request testing at the last minute and then the NCAA couldn't get all our players done in time? If that's the case, that's not gamesmanship, that's being classless and pussified. Our AD ought to be raising holy hell. Honestly we probably should've protested and not agreed to play the game until they finished testing. Someone needs to explain what happened.
2 PCR machines is a fact. The speed at which they test I can't say because I am not in medicine.
Fact that coaches could not coach either if they had not been vax'd
Fact the only kids that played today had been vax'd
Fact that two players tested positive on Monday, NCAA has known all week.
Fact that kids were being tested after the game started
Unknown why at game time **** hit the fan. Speculation Vandy requested it. I buy that because of how long NCAA knew. Seems logical Vandy was not "ok" with it. Big accusation but can't say I wouldn't of done the same if the shoe was on the other foot and my team was on the brink of elimination.
Fingers crossed more kids available tomorrow. I have heard but can't say who. Also I don't trust some bs doesn't happen around them tomorrow because some have not been vax'd. The ones I have heard would be incredibly helpful based on today's lineup.

So if Vandy players haven't received their vaccine, we could just ask to have them tested tomorrow prior to the game? And if it's close enough to first pitch, they wouldn't be able to play?
Packchem91 said:I get what you are saying, but when your HC says, I don't know what even happened....thats more than "minutiae". That's pretty significant. And of course, it doesn't to be him that knows how it all works...he has a job; but for someone to be that surprised and then not able to explain it either means we have a big failure of preparation, the NCAA failed terribly in its role to create an equitable environment, or both.wilmwolf80 said:

By tomorrow game time, your last sentence will be 100% true -- in fact, I'd imagine few teams will have ever garnered as much fan backing "per capita" as our baseball team will tomorrow as a result of today's scenario (and then gutty effort)

You got good info my man
He has been sent home for testing positive. Unfortunately for him he is being disciplined by the NCAA.Packamylase said:
Also, is JT Jarrett being disciplined or off the team only because of COVID?

Are you talking about the NCAA ticker saying he'd "left the team" or something like that?
As does any *****ing about the best AD we have had in two decades. Debbie did a damn fine job! I still don't know the truth about her feelings regarding Coach Avent, but she still deserves a great deal of respect from Pack fans. I hope Elliot gets the guys to the finals and I trust he will do the best job possible. Go Pack!!wilmwolf80 said:

No one should until game time. More than today is the plan.

There is 0% all 14 players that didn't play tested positive. Think about it, if they had then there would be no doubt about who was available tomorrow because now if them would be. This is definitely contact tracing after negative tests. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Vandy pushed for those players not being able to play.

Vandy will know.
Give it a rest, right? *****ing about our current AD who's actually there and been there with the team working hard for those kids does no good either. Boo and Broussard have been working Omaha HARD. I was out there and saw it with my own two eyes.PackFansXL said:As does any *****ing about the best AD we have had in two decades. Debbie did a damn fine job! If Vandy's full team has been vaccinated, then there is no issue with State's guys who test negative playing tomorrow. This isn't hard NCAA.
That dude really does have a lot of influence in the game. He's just about the only coach in the NCAA that can get HS first round draft picks to give up pro baseball for 2-3 years.WPNfamily said:
Corbin runs college baseball. The fact that he is surrounded by this is not a surprise at all. I am happy the kids played hard today and guarantee everyone is going to be ready to get after it tomorrow too.

Players didn't play today because they couldn't get test results fast enough.

I have not said a single word about Boo! I saw bunches of Vandy players, their families and staff out there unmasked walking around with the rest of us unmasked masses. If any of them aren't vaxed then hell, give them a dose of their own medicine.wilmwolf80 said:WilmingtonPackman777 said:

Agree one hundred percent. And if their whole team isn't vaccinated, then they should be subject to the same testing requirements. They are playing in a stadium full of unmasked, non distanced people who are not required to prove that are vaccinated. There is zero risk to anyone.

Is this confirmed to be true? We may have a fuller roster tomorrow? Also, how can we be held out because of lack of testing? Isn't it the job of the NCAA or ACC that we have adequate testing? Who dropped the ball?
I'm sure she appreciates it and will probably reply to your tweet if you want to send her one.PackFansXL said:I have not said a single word about Boo!
