Didn't get to watch any of it yesterday because of The Masters. Glad to see that little Ty was finally able to break through. He looked capable a couple of years ago, but then he really struggled... nice to see the monkey is now off his back, could lead to more coming, who knows?

The CW says Saturday night's O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race was the most-watched Bristol spring race ever. It also "beat NHL prime on ABC head-to-head by 21% in total viewers."

There has been talk about doing Sunday / week night races, but there is a fear that attendance and to a degree viewership would suffer. BTW, have heard and read that the Clash could be a Monday night race to kick off speed week. There is also talk about bringing back a version of preseason Thunder.

Looking forward to watching the racing at Kansas this weekend... usually a pretty good track.

Yeah, I was really just talking about going head-to-head with The Masters like they did this last weekend. That is why their viewing numbers were down.

NASCAR moving more races away from broadcast television has seen ratings slide even further in the wrong direction.

NASCAR got a 40% rights fee bump in its latest TV deal. The cost? Fewer people actually watching the races.

The recent Cup Series race at Bristol on FS1 averaged just 1.945 million viewers. According to Braylon Breeze of RaceDay Report, that is the first time a Fox Sports race has averaged fewer than 2 million viewers without a rain delay.


Cable is a shrinking platform, which makes NASCAR's media rights deal, signed in 2023 and implemented in 2025, all the more head-scratching. In previous set of NASCAR media rights agreements, the NASCAR Cup Series aired nine races on Fox and seven on NBC. In the newest agreements, there are only five races on Fox and four on NBC.
