Assuming we are fully healthy, it looks like we might even be slight favorites to win right now...with it coming down to us and BYU and Oregon as the 3 main contenders to win the title. I haven't been following any other teams closely or the analysis from top analysts, but I think I read somewhere that the guys with The Stride Report had recently updated their rankings to move the Wolfpack women to #1, and those guys seem to follow the sport about as closely as anyone.

2025 NCAA Cross Country Championship Preview from The Stride Report:

They discuss the women's team championship at 29:20 in video. Although these aren't their "official" predictions, both guys are indicating that they are picking NC State to win, with Oregon in 2nd and BYU in 3rd.

6 writers from the Stride Report gave their picks for the top 40 W for Saturday. All 6 included 5 from NC St, most had 3 from BYU (some had 2) and 4 from OR (some had 3) in the top 40. Scoring this, the average for NC St was in the low 90s, the minimum for the 4 OR scorers was 54, and the minimum for 3 BYU scorers was 50.

4 picked NC St to win and 2 picked Oregon to win. Of these 2, 1 seems theoretically possible as they had Oregon at 54 with 4 runners and NC St at 98 with 5 runners (54+41 to 43 < 98), while the other seems impossible as they had Oregon at 60 with 4 runners and NC St at 90 with 5 runners (60+41>90)!

My high school, The Jacksonville Cardinals, won a squeaker last night in the playoffs 35-34.
Philip Rivers coached St. Michael Catholic High School Cardinals in Fairhope Alabama, improved to 13-0 and advanced in their playoffs.

Been a good start to the weekend for The Pack and other favorites so ladies keep the CC Dynasty going and bring home the Natty today! No matter how it works out, we are very proud of your effort and the work you put in daily. Hopefully you will get paid back today with a Big Trophy and a memory to last your lifetimes!
