On a monumental night for the Atlantic Coast Conference, NC State was placed on the winning side of history with nearly 2,000 fans to witness. NC State men's soccer (3-0-1) defeated California in the Golden Bears' first-ever competition a part of the ACC Friday night 2-1.

Freshman, Nikola Markovic, earned his first start in the red-and-white anchoring the back line as center back alongside Isaac Heffess to provide a crucial wall to lift a win for his team.

The game took off quickly as Hakim Karamoko scored a header in the first minute of the game off of a cross from Liam Bennett, tallying his second goal of the season

California's Nonso Adimabua retaliated with a goal outside the top of the box off of a failed clear attempt by the Pack in the 40th minute to tie up the score going into halftime.

NC State continued to apply pressure throughout the second half, outshooting the Bears 9-2, and finding numerous extremely close opportunities to score
With only nine minutes remaining, a corner kick from Taig Healy produced several attack attempts for the Pack, prompting the Bears to repeatedly clear the ball away from their net. Henrique Santos found himself within the top of the box to clean up another failed clear, picking up his first goal of the season and securing the win.
"I think I speak for everyone on the team when I say that we were just looking for that goal and when it finally came, it was just collective happiness throughout" said Santos on scoring the game winning goal

Led by Donavan Phillip's lone header in the 89th minute, NC State men's soccer improves to 4-0-2 after collecting a tie against Stetson at home on Friday night.

For the third time this season, NC State saved itself with a goal in the final two minutes of the game to continue the season without a loss.

Neither team was able to take full control over the other in first half, although Stetson out-shot the red-and-white 3-1.

The Hatters got on the board in the 30th minute to take the lead when Charles Ahl forced Logan Erb to make consecutive saves they were deflected back out into the box. It was Joao Freitas who put the nail in the coffin off of the second deflection from Erb to make the Pack trail going into halftime for the first time this season.

Coming out of halftime, Junior Nare put up a long-range effort from outside the box to force Stetson's goalkeeper, Nicolo Radaelli, to make a save.

Erb made another crucial save in the 60th minute to keep the Hatters from doubling their lead. Things continued to look bleak for the Wolfpack as they struggled to connect in a game that increased physicality throughout the final 45 minutes

Numerous close opportunities arose for the Pack as time on the clock ticked down. Taig Healy, Hakim, Karamoko, and Nikola Markovic each threatened the opposing goalkeeper with shots but none were able to finish.

Finally, Phillip banged a header into the back of the net off a cross from right back, Yves Tcheuyap, to put NC State on the board and save the potential loss they were facing

Throughout the game, the program was able to honor alumni who came back to celebrate their classes. This included recognitions to former coach, George Tarantini, and former player, Farouk Bseio.

18th-ranked NC State men's soccer scored three goals in the second half to win 4-1 over in-state foe UNC Wilmington to conclude its homestretch Tuesday night.

Despite the day being covered in rain in the area, the rainfall lifted just in time for the start of the game between NC State and UNC Wilmington.

The Pack itself on the board first in the 16th minute when, New Hampshire transfers Liam Bennett and Isaac Heffess worked together for a goal. Bennett serviced a cornerkick into the box that was met by Heffess' head to net the ball and record his first goal in the red-and-white, as well as his first-ever collegiate goal.

The Seahawks leveled the score in the 42nd minute when they were able to set up an opportunity also off of a corner kick. The corner was dished out to Jack Clarkson who then crossed the ball into the box to find Josef Hefele's head at the back of the box.

NC State applied pressure throughout the first half, out shooting the Seahawks 7-4 and causing their goalkeeper to make four saves.

Coming out of the half, the Wolfpack increased its intensity across the board. Hakim Karamoko, leading shot taker, found numerous opportunities on goal early on. He gave the red-and-white the lead in the 66th minute when he banged a goal from the right around the penalty kick box off of a header assist from Donavan Phillip. Only a minute later, a shot of his was heading towards goal when a UNCW defender attempted to clear it, only to go into the net for an own-goal, putting NC State up 3-1.

Taig Healy finished things out when he perfected an upper left 90 goal off of a free kick outside the top of the 18-yard box. This marks his fourth goal of the season, making him the leader in scoring, points, and shots on the team.
