The second-ranked NC State women's basketball team (10-1) will play its final non-conference game of the 2021-22 regular season at home on Thursday night as it hosts the 17th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs (8-1).
Tip-off from Kay Yow Court inside Valvano Arena at Reynolds Coliseum is scheduled for 6 p.m. The game will be televised nationally on the ACC Network, and radio broadcasters Andrew Sanders and Derek Jordan will also have the call on WKNC 88.1 FM in Raleigh.
SERIES HISTORY (NC State trails 0-8)
Thursday marks the ninth meeting between NC State and Georgia in a series that started in 1983-84.
The Wolfpack is still seeking its first win over the Bulldogs after falling in each of the teams' eight previous matchups.
NC State's closest loss to Georgia came in December 2001, which was a 68-63 overtime game that swung in favor of the Bulldogs.
Thursday's game marks the third time that NC State and Georgia will face off inside Reynolds Coliseum. The Wolfpack has not hosted the Bulldogs since December of the 1987-88 campaign.
The teams last met on Dec. 6, 2003 in Athens. Georgia came away with the 72-58 victory in that meeting.
Every meeting between NC State and Georgia has featured at least one team ranked in the AP Top 25. Six out of the previous eight matchups have occurred when both teams were ranked. Thursday's game will mark the first time that the Wolfpack is the higher ranked team in the matchup.
