The NC State gymnastics team recorded its highest score of the season on Sunday, posting a 195.425. Host Pittsburgh recorded a 195.700 and EAGL competitor Towson tabbed a 194.475.

The Wolfpack claimed an individual title on all four events at the meet.

On vault, NC State crossed the 49.000 threshold for the first time in its 2021 campaign with a 49.025. Sophomore Emily Shepard posted a 9.900, the first time the sophomore achieved a score of 9.900 or higher on the apparatus. Her score earned her part of a two-way tie for the individual title. Chloe Negrete anchored the event for NC State with a 9.850, a mark good for third place.

The squad compiled a 49.050 on bars, led by Meredith Robinson's 9.875. Her score tied her career best and was good for a three-way tie for first place. Katie Cox and Shepard each tabbed a 9.850 on bars. The mark tied Cox's career high.

The Wolfpack's first event of the day was beam, and the team improved from its last meet with a 48.425. Negrete earned her first individual title of the meet with a 9.875 in the event.

On floor, Negrete posted a 9.900 that was good for an individual title. As a team, NC State put up a 48.925.

Shepard was the only member of the team to compete in the all-around, taking second place with a 38.700.

.@Pack_Gymnastics' 195.425 was good enough to top Towson but the Wolfpack couldn't beat Pitt's 195.700. The Pack is now 4-1 in 2021.

The NC State gymnastics team hosted its first home meet since Jan. 15 on Saturday, posting its best score of the season in a 196.025. The Wolfpack hosted North Carolina (195.600), Towson (194.475) and Pittsburgh (192.125).

The Wolfpack started the meet off on vault, stringing together a series of solid scores to post its second-highest team score of the season, 48.875. Sophomores Emily Shepard and Chloe Negrete were the highest scorers on the event, posting a 9.825 and a 9.800, respectively.

NC State moved on to bars, and freshman Carina Jordan led off for the Wolfpack with a career-high 9.850. Senior Katie Cox and junior Meredith Robinson each tabbed a 9.825 in the rotation that helped the squad compile a team score of 48.850 on the event.

As NC State moved on to beam, Cox posted career-best 9.825 and was followed by Negrete's 9.800. Nicole Webb anchored the rotation, tabbing a season-high 9.800. As a team, NC State put together a season-best 48.900.

The Wolfpack posted a slew of career-high scores on floor, with all six competitors putting up a career best. The Wolfpack tabbed a season-high 49.400 as a that tied the sixth-best score in program history. Jordan and Cox led off for NC State, and each posted a 9.825.

Webb and Kasey Nelson each recorded a 9.875 on the event and were followed by Shepard's 9.900. Shepard has scored a 9.900 on three events during the Wolfpack's 2021 season (vault, bars, floor). Negrete closed out the meet for the team, tabbing a 9.925 that was her second consecutive 9.9 floor mark.

Two members of the NC State gymnastics team have earned East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) weekly honors, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. Sophomore Chloe Negrete was named EAGL Gymnast of the Week while freshman Carina Jordan tabbed EAGL Rookie of the Week honors.

The laurels mark the first Gymnast of the Week recognition for Negrete. The Frisco, Texas, native posted a career-best 9.925 on floor in NC State's Feb. 6 quad-meet, marking the second consecutive week Negrete has earned at least a 9.900 on the event. The score was good for an individual title in the event.

Negrete additionally earned a podium finish on vault, finishing tied for third place with a 9.800. She competed on beam at the meet as well, earning a 9.800.

Jordan's EAGL Rookie of the Week honors are the second of her career. The freshman was the first Rookie of the Week of the 2021 season, earning the honors on Jan. 19. She competed in three events on Feb. 6, setting career highs on bars (9.850) and floor (9.825). Her bars score was good to tie her for first place on the rotation. The Millbrook, Ala., native's vault score of 9.750 tied her career best.

The NC State gymnastics team is set for its next meet of the season Friday, Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. at East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) opponent North Carolina. The meet marks the second consecutive competition in which the Wolfpack has taken on the Tar Heels.

In its second meet of the season, a quad meet at NC State with Pittsburgh and Towson, North Carolina tabbed a season-high score of 195.600 and finished second of the four teams.

Tar Heels tied for individual titles on vault and bars, and sophomore Elizabeth Culton earned the beam individual title after posting a 9.950 for the second straight week.

The NC State gymnastics team continued 2021 action on Friday, competing in a dual meet at East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) opponent North Carolina. The Wolfpack posted a 195.025 at the meet while the Tar Heels tabbed a 195.300.

The Wolfpack put up a 48.750 on vault, led by Emily Shepard's 9.850. The Olathe, Kan., native's score earned her an individual title in the event.

Sophomore Chloe Negrete earned a podium finish on vault as well, tabbing a 9.800 that placed her in third.

NC State kicked off the meet on bars and tied its season-high team score of 49.050. Shepard was the team's highest scorer on the even, earning a a 9.900 that tied her career best and was her second 9.900 on bars of the season. The mark was additionally good for an individual title.

Senior Katie Cox earned a career-high score on the event with a 9.875, and junior Meredith Robinson closed out the rotation for NC State with a 9.875 that tied her career high. Cox and Robinson tied for second place on the rotationin the rotation.

On beam, Negrete led the way for NC State with a second-place finish and a 9.850. Senior Nicole Webb posted a 9.800 on the apparatus, a score that tied her season high. Freshman Gabrielle Diaz made her debut on the event at the meet, posting a 9.700.

The Wolfpack compiled a 48.250 on floor, its highest scores coming from Shepard and Negrete. Each of the sophomores posted a 9.850 in the event that tied them for third place.

Shepard was the lone all-around competitor for NC State and finished the night with a 38.875.
