They play the same position but games aren't really similar, Lecque kinda reminds me of Dennis with Dennis being slightly more athletic and a better shooter/ distributor/ but Lecque has a lot more length.

Nickelberry is just a pure scorer, the kid gets buckets. If TJ warren was 6"3 or 6"4 that's about the way Josh plays. Hell of a shooter too

I think Louisville lands both Withers and Ramsey.




but dont sleep on Penny and Memphis for Ramsey.

Don't think Lecque is close to ready for nba. Can't shoot. Saw him play at christ school last year better have improved his shot a bunch.

I think that is why some have backed off. And not really a point guard.

NBA will draft him on what they think he can be.....not what he is. especially now that the G-league has become a legit minor league.

Anfernee Simons certainly didnt look nba ready and he was drafted in the first round.

Yeah I don't see Lecque every playing college ball, unless they get rid of the one and done rule, then I could see enough guys jumping him for him to go to school.

The NBA draft is all about judging a book by it's cover

Lecque has elite level atheticism and quickness

You need to possess an elite level 'something' to make it into the NBA first round, not just shooting.

Westbrook shot 34 percent from 3 as a sophomore at UCLA. A lot of people see Lecque as a similar prospect.


Some NBA teams would prefer a prospect spend a year or two at their Dleague affiliate over playing in college. Most run the same offense as the parent NBA team and it really has become a legit 'path' to an NBA career.

Ok I am not a nba scout. But when I saw him play he is not a point guard yet. And he can't shoot. So you don't see many first round picks in the nba spent on that. Is all I am saying.

That's not accurate, the nba doesn't care who you are or what you can do, they care about who you can be and what you can develop into, a freak athlete like Lecque with his length, if nothing else will be a defensive terror, put him with a solid coach (which he'd likely get in the late first round) and he'll develop to point guard skills and shooting ability

That is kind of a loaded question as only a very few kids have gone this route in the last decade.


IMO, a good comparison would be to a player like Elfrid Payton.

Pick Lecque, stash him for two years in the GLeague and see what you have.

I have seen a lot less talented players go in the first round. Jimmer could shoot the lights out but ended up a bust while a kid like Payton who cant shoot still gets an NBA paycheck.

and most kids who go to Brewster Prep get better....often a LOT better.

Have people leaked that leqcue is interested in the nba first route or is this pure speculation on our part?
