The law exists because we have a long history of dirty tricks where voter rolls get purged right before an election, when there isn't enough time for the person purged to even realize they were purged, let alone do anything about it before election day.CoachCase said:

If you're going to purge rolls, there should be enough time for purging "mistakes" to get corrected. If you're concerned about a last second voter registration conspiracy, then pass a law that prevents voter registration after a certain date before the election.

Do you walk around in your daily life in fear of an event that has a 0.0001 percent chance of happening, especially since that number would need to be 100-fold or 1000-fold higher in frequency for it to be a problem?
My response - for the hundredth time on here - is that this is a completely fake problem.

And there are multiple safeguards against duplicate voting or voting illegally already, it's not like voter purging a month before an election is all standing between us and anarchy. Not even close.

Thanks for your reply. If we are not going to ensure that everyone who votes is eligible to vote, then again this adds fuel to the fire that election fraud can occur. I think the biggest concern in today's environment is whether persons voting are citizens or not - a legitimate issue since the borders have an open door policy. I think a thorough examination of the boards of elections where most of these allegations are occurring would also help shed light as to whether the officials were doing their job or playing politics.
The only way Trump loses this election is because of cheating. I said it! Yes, I am setting the stage for a loss by Trump. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it…
