Years ago when the Epstein investigations and trails were taking place, the FBI apparently seized all the tapes (showing various "elites" in sexual acts, that were used for blackmail).

Could Epstein have just been a lone POS who did what he did? Sure.

My money is on he himself was blackmailed to do what he did and involve powerful people who could also then be controlled through extortion/blackmail. The "who" part would be the most interesting to learn, in terms of who was controlling him.
