Do you not understand that I am not refuting your points? Those were all great things! Your dismissal of my very valid points as to why your guy is not electable in 2024 is dodging.
And I sincerely apologize for auto correct changing Reagan to Regan and me not catching it, but that's another thing Trump has started to say and you have decided to dodge and just hurl insults.
What?
Is Horizontal "Cackling Hyena" Harris helping you type this morning? At no point does any of that word salad make a damn lick of sense....
He's not arguing with you about the good things Trump did.
He's saying you're blind if you can't see or admit that Trump did some very damaging things that very likely make him electorally untenable and unsuitable to be President.
Civ, Trump certainly did a few things that I did not like. The following are Hokie's points and I will try and address each one:
- The fact that he tried to use the 12th Amendment of the Constitution incorrectly by continuing to make the bogus claim that somehow Mike Pence could single-handedly overturn an election
This is opinion, based (in my opinion) on MSM narratives. I do not support Hokie's opinion.
- His recent comments that he wants to "Terminate the Constitution" and then denied that he said such a thing. Those two issues alone should make him unfit to run again.
I need to pull this one up; however, I do remember something about this that was cringe worthy
- He didn't secure the border, he kicked the can down the road
Not True!!! He secured it as much as he was allowed to. He moved certain funds around to build his border; however, he was fought, tooth and nail, by congress to build a wall. That said, the borders was as safe as its ever been.
- He does not believe in entitlement reform
I think everyone knows that entitlement reform is needed! I also think that this hot potato was absolutely kick down the road
- He increased the size of the federal government and spending in his first term
The federal government is on autopilot with budgets and continuing resolutions. Remember, congress passed laws and the executive branch faithfully executes those laws.
- He has partial culpability in Afghanistan with the bad Treaty he signed with the Taliban
Actually, that's a mischaracterization of his position. Yes, he had a treaty signed; however, conditions on the ground were as important as the treaty.
- The Republican Party has been trounced now in three straight elections
Why is that assumed to be Trumps fault? You know the Party has a leadership that is just as responsible, right?
