What an embarrassment of a statement. That's not what this country does. This is the Venezuelan people's oil

Nah man, this is what Gulf refers to as "strong leadership."

Would you rather have Maduro in power? China, Russia, Venezuela and Cuba all working against the U.S. in the Western Hemisphere? Yes or no?

Nice strawman.

The issue of Maduro in power, and stealing Venezuela's oil after kidnapping errr.. removing their leader, have nothing to do with each other.

Yes or no?

You do know that Maduro's government is still in power, right? The Venezuelan people are just as fu**ed, actually more now since we're stealing their oil wealth. And the China/Russia/Cuba stuff was always just more of your made up bullsh**, just like bellyaching about Maduro being a drug dealer or whatever.

We invaded Venezuela for the same reason we flexed on Greenland and attacked Iran... because Trump wanted to look like a tough guy abroad to make him feel better about things falling apart at home, and these were all supposed to be easy peasy weekend wars against helpless countries.

"Stealing their oil wealth"….

Trump says U.S. has sold more than $13 billion of Venezuela oil since Maduro's capture

https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2026/07/27/trump-says-us-has-sold-more-than-13-billion-of-venezuela-oil-.html

Secretary of State Marco Rubio told Congress in June that the oil sales are audited by KPMG. The money is held in a Citibank account, Rubio said.

"It's an ongoing audit, so it's not a once-a-year audit, it's on every expenditure, every single disbursement is audited by KPMG," Rubio told Congress.

The Trump administration initially deposited $500 million in sales to an account in Qatar that was controlled by the U.S. government, Wright said in February. The U.S. subsequently set up a Treasury account and stopped sending money to the Qatar account, he said.

State Department official Michael Kozak told Congress in April that around $3 billion had been disbursed from the Treasury account. Kozak said the money was used to pay the salaries of Venezuela's government workers, buy supplies for the nation's oil industry and other approved uses.

Uh huh. So when Trump uses his words on national TV and says "We're taking a lot of oil from Venezuela -- billions and billions of barrels of oil. To the victor belong the spoils.", is he lying, can he not remember last month's bullsh** propaganda, or is he just not as good at Google as you are?

Lol, what truth? Rubio told Congress some crap? Case closed! Good enough for Gulf.

This may come as a shock, but the Trump admin hasn't actually produced any actual accounting whatsoever, including whatever was promised in those hearings. And now he's bragging about the spoils.

So either...

1) We actually are stealing oil, or
2) We aren't and Trump is too senile or stupid to understand that, or
3) We aren't and Trump knows that and is just lying that we are because he thinks it makes him look tough

What other explanation is there, and how are any of those three good for Murica?

Buddy, there is a huge difference between not wanting a despot in charge of a country vs. the sitting President bragging about pillaging the natural resources of that country, whether we're doing it or not. What type of message is Trump sending here? This is not what a world superpower and defender of democracy does.

'The time is now': Investors gear up to enter Venezuela despite enormous risks

https://www.cnn.com/2026/08/02/business/venezuelan-oil-foreign-investor-event

A handful of foreign oil companies and investment firms are moving to invest or expand their existing operations in Venezuela under acting President Delcy Rodrguez, who, despite serving as Maduro's vice president, appears friendly to foreign interests.

Reforms under her government have dropped a longstanding requirement that PDVSA, the country's state-run oil firm, holds a majority stake in joint projects.

"Private companies can now operate fields directly, hold bigger stakes, and keep more of the profit," Claire Jungman, director of maritime risk and intelligence at energy data firm Vortexa, told CNN.

I lived in Venezuela for six months, so just like you're an expert on Portuguese MAGA a**holes, I'm fairly familiar with how the vast majority of people there (and in Central/South America in general) feel about foreign companies coming in under the blessing of an autocrat and extracting their resources (hint: none of the profit ever finds its way to helping the people).

Delcy Rodriguez wasn't given a choice by our mob boss in chief, she was kept in power because she's pliable. This is how she's cementing her power.

The government and people seem okay with oil production and sales despite white liberals telling them what they should think?

I lived in Venezuela for six months, so just like you're an expert on Portuguese MAGA a**holes, I'm fairly familiar with how the vast majority of people there (and in Central/South America in general) feel about foreign companies coming in under the blessing of an autocrat and extracting their resources (hint: none of the profit ever finds its way to helping the people).

Delcy Rodriguez wasn't given a choice by our mob boss in chief, she was kept in power because she's pliable. This is how she's cementing her power.

Of course none of the profit made it to the people UNDER COMMUNISM and SOCIALISM…that is the first thing I believe you have ever been correct about.

Thank you for your input.

The companies that come in to extract the oil/minerals/whatever are as CAPITALIST as you can get. But as Trump just demonstrated ("democracy in Venezuela can wait!"), it's very important for us to prop up an agreeable dictator so that we can rob the country blind. Same as it ever was.

From the looks of your first post, it seems you did indeed believe that was happening?

Is Venezuela upset with his words? I could have missed that?

Is the low information democrat offended? They are going to be outraged and regurgitate talking points (Smapty) no mater what.
I don't give a rip about the low information democratic voter. I think I'm clear about that. Anyway, I'm disappointed what Trump said and what in implies. Everyone should too regardless of political affiliation.

So you're going to tell the government and people of Venezuela what they should think and feel? They should be outraged because hokie is having his daily hissy fit?

When you were "living there", I guarantee Trump was not President of the United States and either Chavez or Maduro were in charge of Venezuela.

So, thanks again for pointing out how communism and socialism robs money from the people to make the few political elites very wealthy.

Oh, so you were living and working there under Rafael Caldera and his capitalist right leaning government but had to leave once Chavez and socialism came into power.

I'm sure you were there legally and in accordance with the law unlike many Venezuelans who crossed Biden's open border. It's nice to know you did it the right way and the law matters to you when in a foreign country.

Given that you fled the country when Trump came to power I can see how you would assume that.

But no, dumb ass, I just finished the project. Though after Chavez nationalized their oil like 7 years later and became America's public enemy number one, if I was still there I probably would have gotten the hell out of dodge.

Is the claiming to pillage natural resources that would improve the economy of Venezuela part of the "FO"?

Also, fun fact, the removal of Maduro has done nothing to curtail the shipment of drugs from South America.

Its really amazing to me that you guys can't admit Trump said something really dumb, and how that reflects on all of America. I wish Trump had the loyalty for you that you do for him.
