Let's not forget that Trump's big negotiation to withdraw from Afghanistan was to give the Taliban everything they ever wanted.

It's kind of remarkable how bad he actually is at making "deals". If intimidation doesn't work immediately he stalls for a couple weeks and then tries intimidation again, then stalls again, rinse and repeat until everyone stops paying attention. Then he folds. Every time.

Here in reality world Trump "negotiated" our surrender to the Taliban... handed the government over to them on a silver platter, withdrew most of our forces, and then gave them a deadline date (in the next presidential term) to finish the withdrawal.

We had a token force left that Biden had no choice but withdraw. Either that or he would have had to trash Trump's agreement and surge our entire military back into the country.
