I think overall, Iran has been a success, however I think it's ok to admit that they miscalculated their efforts in the Strait of Hormuz. I think Trump is uncommitted to what needs to be done, because that would involve heavy US forces.

I'm ok with the President pausing to make that decision to make sure it's planned correctly if he pulls the trigger.

But to say this is a massive failure or Iran is winning is wanting to believe something that just isn't true.

We've degraded a lot of their military capability, but apparently not their missile stores or ability to make drones indefinitely. And somehow their nuclear program is still intact. They now have far more radical leaders who will certainly be keeping revenge top of mind... imagine MAGA if they assassinated Trump and multiply that by 100... in case you were hoping they'd now give up wanting a nuke.
