Should Democrats fire the Virginia Supreme Court that ruled against them?

The New York Times reported that, in a conversation with U.S. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, some Virginia Democrats had floated "an audacious and possibly far-fetched idea" to replace the Virginia Supreme Court justices and relitigate the case to get their preferred result.

Apparently, in their minds, they get to set the term and definition of what a democracy is. That said, should they proceed with this blatantly political move, it could indeed be a threat to national unity. The State of Texas once challenged the 2020 presidential election though it failed to move the Supreme Court to action. There will be a red line at some point where at least some non-blue states will not simply not stand by while such anti-American actions threaten our existing constitutional order. And that said, Dems are facing a real problem in 2031 when the census results start the next redraw which explains why they'd resort to such desperate measures.

I find your worry about anti-American actions threaten our existing constitutional order humorous. Not because of your political views, you are a pretty reasonable person.

However the Republican Party has succumb to the ills of populism and this eye for an eye mentality that whatever the Democratic political machine has done in the past, we must now replicate is utter buffoonery. The party is being driven by the minority of primary voters and their whims of their current grievances which has ousted the Conservatives in the party who aren't worried about maintaining power and to demonize the traditions, norms, and people of the Federal Government to sow distrust for the mission of party superiority. We now must idolize a golden statue in Doral Florida if someone wants to get elected in any republican race, otherwise they are ostracized into the heap of RINOs because they fail the current populist test of conservatism, which looks more and more far left daily.

When you race to the bottom, it's unsurprising that a party will try to accelerate to achieve this perceived victory. So my sympathies for such worry have evaporated.

Where in any of that did I say I did? Where in these forums when I've commented on their stupid redistricting plan did I say I supported it?

yes, Republicans started this stupid idea, and set the wheels in motion for the inevitable stupider idea. they get 1/2 the blame for the result.

Laughable reply.....you should have thrown in IL and Ca too.....RINOs stood down for years w/o uttering a word. The reason is both make up the Globalist's UniParty.
