Today, February 28, 2026, may be the most important day of the 21st Century so far. May God bless our fighting forces as they place themselves in harm's way to protect, defend, and save the Westand may we triumph over this remorseless, conscienceless, and evil enemy that has been at war with the "Great Satan" for nearly half a century.

Hokie, you've been hampering on this Presidents unconstitutional actions. Today, you say it's the most important day of the 21st century; yet, no statement on the constitutionality of this action? Did Trump get his power from Congress?

Civ? Thoughts?

no I haven't. I have one policy issue that isn't legal , tariffs.

I have zero issue with anything Trump has done with respect to Iran. I hope we succeed greatly.

How do you know that when he hasn't made a case to Congress or the American people for whatever we're doing now?

The constitutionality of this action aside, none of us have a ****ing clue what the plan or goal or exit strategy is, and most likely neither does he.

what am I supposed to know other than the Iranian people have taken to the streets to beg us for help. I see no reason why we wouldn't do that.

OK, so make the case to Congress and the American people for that.

He's telling us we're at war and to expect American casualties.

Especially if he's going to yet again try to circumvent Congress, the very least he can do is explain what the **** it is he's doing.

im not going to penalize Trump for not doing something that every President since Truman has ignored.

I don think there's a more cut and dry reason why we are doing this. It should be no surprise to anyone in Congress and only the looney tunes section of Congress doesn't understand that.

Nah I'm still salty about all of these "not wars".

We should be going to Congress before attacking another sovereign country that isn't a threat to us. If that's too high of a bar then we shouldn't go

that regime is responsible for thousands of American deaths. They are evil, they murder their own citizens. They are 100% a threat to America.

Then get congressional authorization. Im glad the ayatollah is dead but check and balances are important, even when the outcome is something you like

He doesn't have to have congressional authorization…the War Powers Act says he has to notify congress within 48 hours of committing forces to hostilities (which he did) and it limits engagements to 60 days unless congress approves an extension. I know you guys had no issue when Obama did the same exact thing.

I don't know why people can't grasp this. It's true for Republican and Democrat presidents alike. Notification, 60 days, congressional action one way or the other. But since it's Trump, it doesn't matter being that he's Hitler and all.

3 F-15E's were shot down by Kuwaiti Air Defenses in a friendly fire incident. All six crew members ejected, have been recovered, and are in stable condition. A good chance those jets are from Seymour Johnson in Goldsboro.

It's very unfortunate, but luckily no loss of life.

Imagine your country taking out a totalitarian regime that mass murders their own people and Democrats on an NC State sports message board are cheering for the totalitarian regime.

What a pathetic existence.

As per usual y'all hyperbolize and fixate on the 5% of the story you like and ignore, or are too lazy to try to understand, the rest. And then claim that anyone that brings up any reasonable objection actually supports the criminal/illegal/autocrat.

Small problem, we didn't take out a regime.

We removed a symbol of the regime, and a handful of others. And does that give Iranians everywhere hope of a lasting, consequential change? I'm sure it does, and that's change they deserve.

But if you think a few days of sterile bombing and only a small handful of tragic American soldier deaths will accomplish "regime change" you're ignoring history. That small a price is the very tip of the iceberg.

We will need way more involvement - measured in boots on the ground, resultant unavoidable soldier deaths, and exponential more spending - to approach true, lasting regime change.

What price are we actually willing to pay here?

Airpower has never brought a positive regime change? I think Japan in 1945 would disagree with that one given we never had troops step foot on the main island

We're not nuking Iran.

And he's saying airpower alone hasn't done it.

The Allies occupied Japan for 7 years after the war and totally dismantled and rebuilt its government, so it definitely wasn't airpower only.

Listening to Juan O'Savin interview over the weekend I learned the CCP has heavy influence/control on our Corporate Media. This is a significant reason for not reporting the real truths.

The CCP has had a steady influence on Hollywood productions for several years now, if you didn't already know.

I know were not nuking Iran, just pointing out that Japan doesnt capitulate without air power. Everyone remembers the nukes, but its forgotten that the firebombing of Tokyo killed more people than Hiroshima. And if Curtis LeMay had his way, we would have burned that entire country down before a single soldier stepped foot on the mainland.

Reports Claim Iran's Interim Leader Arafi Killed in Airstrike

Social media posts and some Israeli news reports claim that Iran's interim Supreme Leader Alireza Arafi was killed in an airstrike just hours after taking charge. These reports have circulated widely but have not been confirmed by Iranian state media or major international news agencies.

Gulf, you have to know that F-15's are 45-50 years old technology. Yes they have had avionic and defensive upgrades, but the Kuwaiti's probably have some of our best defensive weapons for stopping missiles. It's extremely unfortunate, but friendly fire incidents happen. Again no loss of life which is good.

The F-15's which were inadvertently shot down by the Kuwati's, were involved with Iranian aircraft in an active combat situation.

The Qatari Emri Air Force shot down two Iranian aircraft and intercepted drones and missiles.

You'd be wrong. Obama was pretty terrible on foreign policy and his adventures in the middle east were tenuously based on the 2001 AUMF, which I believe is the same AUMF being cited by Trump.

The fact that AUMFs don't expire is an extremely stupid loophole that everyone glosses over when their team is in power. Without an AUMF of national emergency you can't just attack someone with the War Powers act who isn't an imminent threat. The executive has been out of control from 3+ decades. Trump is just the bright orange cherry on top

"That the President is authorized to use all necessary and appropriate force against those nations, organizations, or persons he determines planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, or harbored such organizations or persons, in order to prevent any future acts of international terrorism against the United States by such nations, organizations or persons."
