Our inflation was better than the rest of the developed world when Biden was in office.

Tariffs and job loss and instability have increased inflation and also unemployment, and slowed the economy, yet our interest rates have remained higher than most developed economies because of that artificially high tariff inflation.

We have a toxic soup of rising inflation and unemployment in the midst of high rates.

Crazy idea - end the tariff madness which would help normalize inflation, and also drop rates to help spur the economy a little.

I think the money supply is going to be the biggest factor in our inflation. Until both parties get their mind around balancing the budget, this issue will never go away.

So, let's tax the heck out of the wealthy (that's the under 1% people) and see how much money we can raise. It's not going to solve the issue. We need a true DOGE oversight to call out where the cuts need to come from. We need hundreds upon hundreds of billions in cuts.

If they don't want a full-blown deflationary meltdown and they NEVER want that, yes, they have to do that. They'll choose inflation every time. For anyone planning their retirement, don't make the mistake of thinking that the years to come will resemble 1980-2020.
