There is no Saturday game 2 against Auburn if you lose tonight, so they are going with the guy they think gives them the best chance to win tonight. Is that right or wrong? We'll see, but I feel that winning the game in front of you has been a consistent strategy over the years (that has worked relatively well), so that to me is clearly the motivation. Regardless of who you throw, someone is going to disagree with it, that much is certain. Personally, I'd try to figure out a way to use Nance twice,. Have him be an opener for a few innings and then close the next game or something. Feel like Arkansas did something like that with Kopps back in 21. Only thing I know for certain is that we need to hit to have any chance of advancing. If we don't, it won't matter who is pitching.
