Gotta say...never really understood the "No Kings" theme. The USA was formed based on the notion, weve fought multiple wars over it. No matter how you feel about Trump, he was democratically elected, won every single swing state, and won the popular vote.
Maybe pick up a history book before creating idiotic themes
Jonah Goldberg nails it here.
I'm sure the next time there's a Dem president who takes even 1/10 of Trump's new "unitary executive" powers out for a test drive, and decides to have good wholesome constitutional fun by directly targeting MAGA voters and extorting businesses and organizations to play ball, suddenly the Water Cooler will totally understand the "No Kings" theme.
I bet they've even got their old Tea Party hats in the closet ready to go.
Smapty, I have no problem with these people acting the way they do. The irony is: Trump didn't even stop them with his King powers, from protesting him…
Also, I'm still not sure where this unitary power thing is coming from…. Heck, when he has tried to establish the unitary executive power, people complain and nothing appears to happen…
That said, the most unitary thing that has gone on is the idea that the President doesn't have complete control of the Federal Government. You know, the unitary power of all the departments of the Federal Government. Again, you know, the 4th branch of government…
